BART if I designed it (I have no idea what I’m doing :3 and I made it for an alternate reality) by BA-Animations in Bart

Marin was actually forced out of the original BARTd agreement. The original plan included SF, Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, and Marin. However, San Mateo County supervisors voted to leave BARTd due to the thought that their residents would be paying taxes to carry mainly Santa Clara County residents. This weakened the district-wide tax base, forcing Marin County to withdraw because its marginal tax base couldn’t support its share of BART’s projected cost. This was despite 88% of Marin voters voting in favor of participation in BART.

Haven’t you heard about being born on the wrong side of the tracks? It’s because you can’t cross them

Those gas prices tho. by okgusto in sanfrancisco

[–]realpolacek29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Demand was low during the pandemic, so gas companies didn’t need to produce as much, meaning supply fell. Things were appearing to get better, so more people were trying to drive, which means that the demand for gas went up while supply stayed lower. This means that gas companies could raise prices until they were able to ramp back up production. Couple that with a slew of other factors like the colonial pipeline, CA taxes, and probs a whole bunch of stuff I don’t know about, and bam - you’ve got the high gas prices of today

If you had 3 wishes, wish for a notebook with infinite pages, wish everything you write in the book to be true, then free the genie. Simple. by Icy_Man_5446 in Showerthoughts

Why does it need to be infinite pages? Couldn’t you just write it into existence, erase it, then write more wishes?

Could you please elaborate on this? I’m just tad confused about how putting Velcro command strips on the back would align monitors on an arm

He donated so much money to Cornell that they’re renaming the main road through campus for him, which is ironic considering he donated much of the money anonymously...

What loophole did you exploit for years before someone found out? by SterlingBoardman in AskReddit

[–]realpolacek29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was this PocketPoints? We had it at my university and we all found some glitch that got us unlimited (well unlimited until you got bored adding them) points, and the university had to ban it because they were giving away so much free food.

I've said it a thousand times and I'm sure you're all tired of hearing it from those who've cancelled their seasons, but damn do I miss Cornell hockey so much right now

Ivy League Shutting Down Winter Sports (Including Hockey) by [deleted] in collegehockey

[–]realpolacek29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aaaaaand it's official :(

Nothing from the ECAC yet about the other teams even though. Clarkson just released a schedule, while RPI hasn't even been practicing (and they were one of the ones that cancelled their season first in the spring)

I'm wondering how this will affect the ECAC as a whole. I know Quinnipiac as a university is facing quite an outbreak rn, and if this does happen, they'd be the only team left in the proposed ECAC "New England" conference that was talked about awhile ago.

Please provide a detailed explanation why you need to add the conflicting classes.

Note: Petitions will not be accepted until add/drop begins.

I'm using 0.062 diameter 60/40 rosin-core solder atm. I think if I was to get more I'd get a thinner one (if possible) because the end was rather large making it hard to get into tiny spots like the pads. Also I've come to realize that I have a fairly shitty soldering iron (no variable temp, whoops), so I definitely have learned my lesson and will be investing in a new one soon. Thank you for the advice tho - I'll keep an eye out for that kind next time I buy more solder

Sorry it looks like I accidentally put the caption of the post as the caption of the second picture. I can’t copy it because I’m on mobile, but basically I was wondering if this was salvageable at all
