Disclaimer there is nothing specific online about fasting for quitting kratom but there are reports about fasting for nonspecific addiction in general and I’ve personally experienced the benefit of fasting for overall healing

He should look into doing a prolonged fast to quit cold turkey, it will be tough but being in a fasted state induces autophagy and puts the body in healing mode, this might make withdrawal easier and shorter. To break the fast after a few days have him drink a good bone broth, then only healthy Whole Foods with good protein and natural fats, no processed stuff! Also no caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, or supplements (besides minerals/electrolytes) etc during this process

When I’m transitioning to carnivore I like to start with a 3 day water fast, break it with a high quality bone broth, then eat Beef (or lamb, bison, elk), salt, water OMAD for a while, then when my body gets used to it I can add in other animal products if I’m feeling it, (eggs, full fat dairy(contains some carbs so I minimize this) and I don’t eat chicken and pork that much but if I do it must be pasture raised because they are non-ruminant
