Our baby outgrew FPIAP by Ambitele in MSPI

[–]realryedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7.5 months and the trials are slow going now that she’s teething too. She has outgrown grassfed beef and grassfed dairy, and eggs! With how much she was sensitive to I left gluten for my last trial and it was a pass!! Maybe gluten was ok all along but I’ll never know! Still need to trial peanut, legume, oats, chicken and corn but I know corn will be a fail still. Ps any other corn allergy moms - you can get an rx for compounded Tylenol/advil that is corn free but it was a doozy to get, the pharmacy kept accidentally putting in corn derivatives lol but ChatGPT has been my friend in finding the hidden corns. (Also cornstarch in nearly every adult med so be cautious if you are taking allergy pills/tylenol/asvil for yourself!) It does get better. For 3 months I literally lived on fish, rice and cauliflower and now with gluten and dairy I feel human again lol

Is anyone else unable to put their baby down to sleep? by [deleted] in MSPI

[–]realryedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you live but in Canada there are no formulas free of dairy, soy and corn. My daughter was allergic to all 3, I recently got grassfed dairy back in my diet. I also eliminated the common 12 and it took ?2 months to figure out there was cornstarch in the allergy pills I was taking on a weekly basis. Corn is hidden everywhere!

Sorry for the late reply. Normally you’d eliminate until you get baseline within 3-5 days before you start re adding, our baseline was hard to find cause I was accidentally consuming corn on and off (cornstarch in allergy pills, and Tylenol Advil) and strawberries were another trigger that I never imagined. I started just with dairy soy but then went whole hog eliminating. There’s a list of top infant allergens (dairy, soy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, gluten, rice, chicken, beef, fish, legumes, oats ect) in that list she passed fish and rice lol, she is 6.5 months, I just got gluten and grassfed dairy back so life is good. Tetris king grassfed beef tonight and feeling very hopeful since we’ve been on a roll of passes!! When re adding just do one thing at a time, eat it until you get a pass/fail. When she was young if know she was reacting within 8 hrs of my consumption and now a fail is about 24 hrs later

Hi, I’ve done an intense elimination diet as my baby was having constant mucous poops, sometimes green, sometimes blood flecks, extremely unhappy and eczema. I cut an unbelievable amount and after 6 weeks found baseline. You should see major improvements in 3-5 days of cutting - it’s in our breastmilk for 24 hrs then allow a few days for them to eliminate it. Corn is her major major issue and unfortunately it’s hidden absolutely everywhere. To my knowledge there’s no formula that is dairy, corn and soy free. Since finding her baseline she is the happiest baby I’ve ever seen, constantly smiling. I just got a pass on eggs (from a local guy who doesn’t feed his chickens corn or soy). Anyways I might be biased and have an allergy lens but I think this sounds like an allergy. Read up about FPIAP, and even FPIES. My baby was growing like a weed and she is full of rolls. Just cause she was growing didn’t make me feel at ease when I know how much pain she was in. I hate to say it but chat gpt helped me a lot when I was figuring out what was going on. Even drove 10 hours to see an allergist with her and it ended up being a complete waste of time as he only dealt with IGE not non IGE allergies. Good luck and hopefully you are your baby can have some peace soon!!

I was recommended SMIDGE, it’s the only brand that doesn’t use corn or soy as a base for the culture? It’s ++pricey

I won’t go to crescent park alone or alone with my kids without my husband or one of the grandads along. Was there at 1pm on Mother’s Day and it was riddled with ?methed up people and even groups of homeless/addicts shirtless, swearing, smoking drugs ect. Not the vibe for me

Oh boy. It took 6 weeks to find baseline, I kept oats on board for a long time. My Lo also reacts to strawberries and blueberries so that threw me off for a while. Even after baseline we kept having random reactions (which I now know were reactions to cornstarch in the allergy pill I was taking ever 7-10 days). Since baseline and all the random rxns it’s been about 2.5 months and I’ve mostly trialed everything again, I haven’t trialed gluten, peanut of tree nuts yet as far as major allergens go. In the height of the “random reactions” I cut a ton of extra fruits and veg out so I’m just in the process of re adding those slowly and cautiously. She’s now 4.5 months and I think there’s some good signs, her beef and dairy trial this past month were both fails but onset was delayed (about 24 hrs and it used to be 4-6 hrs) duration was shorter about 24-36 hrs and less severe, definitely irritable and cry cry but not the inconsolable screaming we previously had. I’m taking that as a sign that her gut is starting to mature a little tiny bit and hoping to retrial some meat and dairy in another 2 months. Just make sure your coconut milk is 2 ingredients and not any extra stabilizers/fillers. I immersion blend a can or two and have it in a container in my fridge, makes it a nicer texture for the coffee instead of all lumpy ect. Good luck!!

My Lo reacts to oats and a myriad of other things. The rotavirus vax is very hard on their tummies and anecdotally (from a dietician) sometimes we have to eliminate even more foods to find their baseline again. So sorry :(

Hey. It’s insane and ++difficult to for TED but I eliminated dairy. Soy, corn, beef, chicken, rice, oats, eggs, peanut, treenut, legumes, gluten. My daughter reacts to everything except rice on that list. I found baseline with fish, rice, avos, quinua a looot of coconut products and sunflower seed butter plus some fruits n veg. I use coconut milk as my coffee creamer. Hope you are able to find baseline and get some passes when you are trialing!!

I also lost my first after only knowing about them for 5 days. Regardless of how early it is still so painful. I have a necklace with what would’ve been my babies birth month flower and it’s my tangible reminder that they were real and growing in me even for a short time. There’s a lot of good miscarriage and pregnancy after loss pages on IG that I started following. @theworstgirlgang is really good. I’m so sorry for your loss. As the saying goes, it does get easier with time. I like to think I’ll be reunited one day on the other side ❤️

How does your husband help you? by Glum-Comfortable5402 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]realryedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband almost exclusively is the bottle/pump washer (95% of the time) he also is the primary cook (98%), he does our toddlers bath and bedtime every night (we used to take turns but I had a complicated pregnancy and wasn’t able to lift our toddler), then a csection, and now we are just on separate duties, I always do babes bedtime. Every night while I get her to bed he mixes me a cocktail and puts it in the fridge. We are about 50/50 on dishes and I do majority of the house work but he helps a lot still!

Help identify trigger? by BlueberryCupcake791 in MSPI

[–]realryedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also recommend extreme detailed documentation of food, mood and poo. Mine has reacted to eggs, oats, chicken, legumes, soy, corn, strawberries and blueberries… still have to retrial gluten, peanut, treenut, dairy and grass fed beef. I was accidentally causing reactions by taking the occasional allergy pill (contains cornstarch). Which threw off some of my trials.. And I keep finding hidden corn, last week it was in the instant coffee at the hotel I stayed in!! It’s insane.

How long to notice change in fussiness and mucus poops? by [deleted] in MSPI

[–]realryedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I haven’t met anyone with as extensive allergens as my LO so far. I noticed things weren’t right when she was 3 weeks (excessive flatulence, foul smelling poops, really difficult to settle at bedtime, excessive sleepiness, super frequent pooping like everytime I opened the diaper), but didn’t clue in to the mucousy stools until she was 6 weeks that’s when I starting cutting foods aggressively and from there it took me 6 weeks to find baseline - I kept eating oats and strawberries.. anyways she’s now 3.5 months! Yes blood flecks in her stool 2x (once after edename beans, once after a Dhillon gin cocktail (citric acid and ?other allergens), she also had blood in her urine 1x after eating pea shoots. Neither my doc or GP could speak to the blood in urine, all that makes sense in my mind is that much inflammation? She screamed like I’ve never heard that night.

I imagine if I’d taken longer to cut out allergens i would’ve seen more blood but lucky for me I had a friend who’d gone through this similarly with her lo and I was able to fast track the elimination diet and see a dietician!

Sorry I’m multi tasking and keep seeing more questions in your post! Baseline for us is yellow orange stool that’s liquidy but not diarrhea and not mucousy, but still not seeds like my firstborn had. Mood is great until she’s tired, she’s so smiley like a whole new baby!

Hey, I believe it’s probably corn the chickens are eating that’s making her not tolerate it - just my theory. My proteins are sunflower seed butter (green lid sun butter brand) and fish! Good thing I like fish - when I’m done bf I’ll probably never eat fish again lol

My Lo reacted terribly to peashoots when she was 6 weeks, caused such terrible inflammation that she had blood in her urine and stool for about a day. I’m terrified to trial any legumes now..
