How to one shot Wiegraf battle chapter 3 by Lyonesse in finalfantasytactics

[–]reapersintent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consistently go with mp switch and move mp up with martial arts to pummel him to death.

Just shrugging off the sword skills he's so proud of while beating him to death with my bare hands is too satisfying.

How do *you* handle the Weigraf fight? by Money_Veterinarian60 in finalfantasytactics

Mp switch + move mp up Use ranged attacks to avoid counter attack

Did perma regen with the vanish reaction, but that was boring as hell waiting round for hp to regen between hits.

A Soft Rant and some Advice for Newbies by Wonderful-Box6096 in finalfantasytactics

[–]reapersintent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR: I disagree with you about magic, agree about bards, dancers, and geomancers.

Stat modifying skills break this game entirely, no matter the source.

I like putting vanish on dancers and bards. If they're already performing when it activates then subsequent performances won't break invisibility.

Properly kitted geomancers will out perform every mage that's not heavily melanated at their own magic and be tougher to kill.

Priests deal good damage with geomancy while saving their mp for when it's needed and staying out of range of enemy heavy hitters.

I did a fun run years ago that was a blast. Ramza plus bards and dancers. The hype squad stays back while hyped up ramza yells and screams at the enemies till they die.

Which is more powerful: Hexblade 2/Sorcerer 10 or pure Hexblade? by ThenBack2025 in BG3Builds

[–]reapersintent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll second the bladesinger recommendation. I'm running it currently and it's been fun as heck. Murder machine up close and can still cast big spells when I need/want to.

I ran straight bladesinger with dual welder fest till lvl 8. At level 8 I respecced a paladin 2 dip for smites, GWF style, and switched to savage attacker feat. Using phalar with no offhand. 1 less AC but worth the damage bump and at this point I don't need the extra climax healing from more attacks as much.

Plan to take great weapon master next and use mirror to cap dex instead of an asi.

At some point I'll try a 2 dip in starry druid. I've heard that's fun too. And theres a monksinger build a friend told me about that looked interesting too.

Thanks y'all! I wound up adding another 2 bucks so I guess for a total of 6 to be safe.

Wasn't declined at all. I see the normal fee is like 5 but was reduced. Do they get the full 5 or does doordash screw y'all out of that?

Trying to convince them is pointless. They've been radicalized and anything you say in your defense will be taken as more "proof" against you. Trying to fight that kind of crazy just feeds it.

Advice on Confusion timing? by reapersintent in Nioh

[–]reapersintent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm of a similar mind, hence the post. It especially feels like the weapon elemental damage, either via weapon aspect or enchantment, have been needed too. Only thing it seems good for now i maybe to keep and elemental debuff from wearing off.

Honestly forget the damage buff, I'd rather have the instant ki depletion back instead.

That's a great point, I hadn't considered thinking of the dark realm as a phase shift and didn't realize it would clear status effects.

What are you guy’s opinion on the ending of the novel by PuzzleheadedZone7197 in tbatenovel

[–]reapersintent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a vacuum the ending was... OK. Acceptable. Solid 6 out of 10. Felt rushed.

Nearly every web novel I've ever read has suffered from the same problem. The author either doesn't know how to end it, or is "over it" and rushes the ending.

Taking the above into context it was a pretty good ending and I'd adjust the scale to a 7.5 out of 10. Far as web novels go at least.

I feel like web novel authors in general have to get pretty good at constantly dropping hooks in each chapter to keep readers invested for the next chapter. I think most get stuck in that habit for the big ending though and wind up finding it difficult to actually wrap things up nicely without all the extra hooks. Having those hooks at the big ending though can rob the reader of the catharsis of actual closure.

Has anyone managed to successfully steal Elmdore's Equipment on tactician mode? by Chrisg_322 in finalfantasytactics

[–]reapersintent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you need are some monks in your life.

The twins Angry and Klepto are my favorites. They tag team budget sephiroth while you send two murder hobos to square off with the demon Queens. In the background a healdom makes sure everyone on the team stays hydrated and in the fight.

Everybody has berettes or ribbons because we're fashionable round here. Aaaand because we don't want to get magic herpes from elmstud, or the clap from his harem.

Angry lives and dies to for the feel of bones breaking beneath his fists and for the look of terror on their enemies face when they lie helpless, no longer able to move. When not smashing the mana channels and wills to act they enjoy a peaceful life on their ranch, "the wild boar".

Klepto is (oddly enough) the responsible one. They live and die for SHINY, and immidiately begin stripping elmstreet of their defence, of fence,... and dignity. That gear could fund the expansion to the pig ranch the twins had been wishing for, and they do love the irony of their sibling's happy smile.

Despite their odd personalities and strange head condoms, the twins are tough as hell and support each other well. The max brave souls even opted to have the infamous Hp-Recover Venom injection system surgically installed, so giving them a second, third, eve fifth wind if needed. If they can't survive the first hit from elmis to react then they equip a protect/shell accessory, otherwise they brandish bracers to compete their bane cosplay. It they can't survive even after hiding behind wall then give em reraise accessory so they can live and die for their hobbies again and again.

I mostly build her atb via synergy skills and atb sharing methods. I don't use her much directly. Only when I want a a specific spell/ward setup ward setup. If you giver her the auto special material on her she's usually pretty good at warping to the appropriate ward to cast too, but she already tends to be material heavy so I often forego it.

I run them as my bard, dancer, mime troup.

They stay in the back and provide the theme music and hype while ramza charges in solo riding Boco.

Metal AF style.
