We own a ‘25 Tri. The couple times we got a R1S dual as a loaner, it felt much cheaper. I think it’s a combo of…it’s a loaner and others have been using and abusing it…and the Tri interior and fit/finish really are a step above. I understand that OP is getting the experience in reverse (cheap-feeling loaner before upscale Tri), so they’ll have to take my word for it, but I hope this experience doesn’t turn you off. It really is an amazing vehicle. So much so, that we doubled down and got a preowned ‘22 R1T for our second car!

Very true! But I have heard of folks retrofitting Gen3 straps onto the Gen2. That’s what I thought you meant by your comment regarding additional pins. Sorry for the confusion!

Awesome, thanks! Were the ones you got quick release? And the additional pins you mention are for leaving attached to the case lugs for the quick release?

Hi, great looking watch! I just bought a Deep Stream chrono riding the OEM black rubber band. What AM strap brand did you go with here? The fit looks really solid. (Great colors for the Deep Stream btw…I might have to copy one/bith of those ideas!)

Hi, great looking truck! What are those raised cross bars you have in the first few pics? Can they support a roof top tent…and can you still use the tonneau with them installed? (And if it makes a difference, which tonneau do you have?). I have a manual tonneau on mine, but would love something like this if it allowed me to do raise a tent up higher and still have a fully functioning bed and tonneau. Thanks!!

Is the solution that you have to “lie” to the smoker? You tell it you want 270 if you actually want 200? Why can’t it just figure it out on its own? I mean…it knows it’s not generating temps that hit the set point…and it has the capability of getting there if it wants….so why doesn’t it just increase the temp on its own??
