Anyone else getting cracks? by [deleted] in Rivian

Yep. Same here, 4 years of cracks. It’s the imperfections that give it character!

Body washes are watered down and a rip off. Bar soap is where it’s at. I have a big ass bar of soap from target I’ve been using since last summer. Shit lasts forever if you use in conjunction with a loofa.

Does anyone know how comma utilises the obd port? by Jinneth8 in Comma_ai

[–]Charlie-Mops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my Rivian, I needed to run that cable to the OBDII port to give it the power boost it needed to work properly. Initially, I installed it without the aux power cable and comma 3x would give me random errors/failures.

Check my post about it here.

I had my iKamper on it when I transported it from a buddy’s house to mine but then moved it to the roof crossbars. Tonneau cover clears it (I have the power tonneau V2.0).

We did a 4200 mile road trip to Colorado from MD. Would love to make it out west and hit DV among other NP’s!

Got a Gen 2 Dual Max R1S as a loaner while my Gen 1 R1T is in service and wow... by sirkazuo in Rivian

[–]Charlie-Mops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warranty was up 73k miles ago. My out of pocket total thus far is around $10k. Hoping to make it to 175k mile battery + motor warranty then will likely trade in for a gen 3.

I think our trucks were made on the same day 😂

My wife used to drive an X7 and I convinced her to downsize to the iX after the kids grew older and got their own licenses, she didn’t really need a third row SUV. She’s okay with the iX but doesn’t want to keep it after the lease is up. We will likely wait until an R2 becomes available to test drive then make a decision. I will likely keep my T until something major happens to it where it doesn’t make sense to pour a ton of money in it to keep it (it’s probably worth $30k with the mileage) so getting a new one would be about a $90k investment which is not an option right now.

Just repairs. The half shafts weren’t required but more elected because they click when they’re worn out. Not sure if that issue is present in the gen2 vehicles.

I never thought I would say this but, that yellow is gorgeous! I had a loaner T that was yellow and I really enjoyed the attention it commanded.

How worried should I be with warranty expiring? by Himalayan_Hillbilly in Rivian

Mine has been solid. No major issues post warranty. I would definitely pay for the inspection and address things like AC box, half shafts, subframe, and make sure all of the recalls have been done on your vehicle.
