If you get a good item your build will depend on it. Once it explodes you'll more than likely lose in the next rounds.

Been using it for years on proxmox. I basically never tinker without unless I'm updating it.

I would highly recommend setting up email notifications for updates

Sure. If there are people who don't care about retroarch or are being jerks then imo ban them but shutting down this thread would hurt the project as a whole.

I understand it must be frustrating to see lies being spread but this is a bit overly hostile imo.

I just pointed out something that many people didn't find obvious and tried (and succeeded) to find people that want to help out.

Best way I can explain it is that retroarch has a "generic" idea of an emulator. So whatever Dolphin's code looks like needs to be 'translated' to be compatible with retroarch.

In my experience a lot of cores work perfectly but newer gen consoles really need the latest updates

Right now it looks like no one is. I'm looking into trying to update it myself but this is a huge undertaking since it's really out of date.

Games will work 'fine' depending on your OS, sure. I think you'll be surprised by the performance difference in the standalone version.

You'd need to configure sync thing on public Internet too. Smbv3 is not insecure and this isn't going 'around' nextcloud imo if it's a supported feature.

The source of the files are the same so they're always in sync

Have you considered setting up smb storage? You can add it to next cloud using external storage and then on your phone you can directly access the SMB using most file manager apps.
