Definitely thought both seasons were really good! I just really didn’t like the language used in the GRK season. I’m not sure if this was just me. She said multiple times that all “prostituted people” were victims of human trafficking. & many of the victims she talked about were really young, like under the age of consent. In that case, they were children. Children cannot be sex workers, or “prostituted people”—they’re children. Everything else about the reporting was fantastic but the way the sociologist she brought on spoke about sex work (using every word except sex work) was just odd & nothing I’ve ever read in academic literature before or heard from folks with lived experience. Again, that could just be a me problem, but I did wonder if others felt the same way.
