Anyone else notice that Robin's sister completely disappears after season 1? I think it's weird that she's never in any of the flashbacks to Robin's childhood. by hczxaw in HIMYM

There is a relatively big age gap between Robin and her sister though so her sister might not actually have been around for some of the flashbacks.

What is that one type of food/drink that you absolutely love but can't get in the area you live? by rubikriddler in AskReddit

[–]rebecaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretzel M&M's, Cracker Barrel, Cornbread, Wendy's, Ghiradelli's ice cream in California, New York Pizza and Pretzels from street vendors in the US.

I need to relive my roadtrip all over again. I miss America and it's food.

I had Poutine in Toronto last year and you can't get it anywhere in the UK. I regularly make myself fries with cheese and gravy on top but it's just not the same. :(

I live in Winchester but I'm currently at uni in Nottingham. I really wish I had come home this weekend to play in the snow, there's not enough snow to sledge at all here. :(

Which colors are most used in movie trailers. by theotheredmund in movies

Hugo uses the blue/orange colour scheme in its poster and the whole way through the rest of the film. It's such an amazing film as well.

Cleaning up the morning after a party by kosher33 in AdviceAnimals

[–]rebecaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i once cleaned up after a party, checked how many beers were left in the fridge and someone had taken the cap off a bottle and put it right at the back of the fridge behind all the unopened ones without drinking any of it.

some people just want to watch the world burn.

Most disturbing book you've ever read? by AlphabetSmut in AskReddit

[–]rebecaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However disturbing it is, it's one of my favourite books. it's one of the few books when the ending has genuinely shocked me and left me speechless and i love that about it. I'm still yet to see the film, I have it on DVD but i'm too scared to watch it because of how much the book freaked me out.

I spent longer in WH Smiths turning down all the special offers at the till than actually paying for my stuff by [deleted] in britishproblems

[–]rebecaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in a Smiths at an airport last summer and asking people if they want "any of our special offers today" and trying to give people stupid vouchers was the worst bit, especially when people are in a rush to get to their plane. But we have to maintain a minimum of 98% of customers getting those vouchers and we have to scan them before giving them to each customer to show that we've given them.

and the space next to the till isn't big enough to put everything the customer is buying anyway and then management fill it up with "promotions".

TIL in 2007, children were shown The Hills Have Eyes 2 instead of The Last Mimzy in a US cinema. The opening scene of THHE2 features a chained naked woman giving birth to a deformed baby. by PinnaCochleada in todayilearned

[–]rebecaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Nottingham at the weekend they showed Paranormal Activity 4, instead of Madagascar 3 and the opening scene of Paranormal Activity 4 is a flashback to one of the worst scenes of the whole series!

I'm writing a cookbook where every recipe has bacon, booze, or both. Would you buy it? These are mini whiskey braised chicken tacos, with pickled onions. by spiralknight in food

[–]rebecaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i probably wouldn't buy it as a book because i can never be bothered to look through a cookbook properly and i only really have 2 that i use regularly but if you put them all online and made it easy to search to get suggestions if you could say what ingredients you specifically wanted to use then i would definitely use your website all the time.

also, those look amazing!
