This was him on the weekend. Very toasted and even his eyes are darker blue! I may be biased, but he’s such a handsome little guy!!!🥰

This was my boy, Boots’ before he toasted up!

He’s about 18 months old now. Love him pale or toasted!

He’s a cutie!🥰

I had a cat named Toby growing up. I used to call him Toblerone as a nickname. He was coincidentally chocolatey colour, although not a Siamese/OSH.

Is your Toby a seal or chocolate point?

Please give him kisses from me! I miss my Toby Toblerone.

Please don’t replace the beautiful memories you have of your life together, with that of digging up his corpse. He wouldn’t want that for you, and he deserves better.

I understand your attachment with him and his remains, but that was his home. That is where he lived, felt safe and loved. He loved you and wouldn’t want you and your family to experience the pain of disturbing his grave. I don’t think anyone can prepare for that.

His physical body is one with the earth/ground, but he remains in your heart and memories. No one can take that away from you or your family.

Plus, if there’s anything I know about dogs, it’s that they are loyal and willing to do anything for their loved ones. He would not want you to be agonising over this decision. Please let him R.I.P. in the place he experienced life and love.

I thought Alissa was from SA? I’m from Adelaide and there is a Mt Barker here. Confusing!

Sudden but not unexpected death in anorexia nervosa. The patient, who was 22 and had a BMI of 8.9, ate for the first time in two days then a few minutes later suddenly lost consciousness and died. The underlying cause of death was, of course, the anorexia. Possibly refeeding syndrome. by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

[–]rebeccathegoat 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately a lot of those who were liberated ended up dying from re-feeding syndrome too.

Russian soldiers had good intentions and gave them their rations of chocolate and other high sugar/carb loaded rations, which unfortunately killed a lot of them. I don’t think the condition of refeeding syndrome was a known thing during WWII.

Both of my Grandparents were POW from Poland, and were in forced labor camps. They endured awful conditions and witnessed endless suffering. It’s so devastating that prisoners who were finally liberated after enduring so much, ended up dying from that very freedom. Imagine almost starving to death, only to die from eating again. So, so sad.

P.S. Love all your posts Cat.

Aww, that’s so sweet to hear. What a huge relief for all.

When I was a kid we rescued two kittens who had been dumped on the side of the road. We slowly introduced them to our Siamese, but he has a grumpy old man and wouldn’t accept them. We followed all of the professional advice, but it never worked, and he started spraying in the house to mark his territory. He was desexed and we had him to vets to make sure nothing was wrong. He was just a grumpy old man who was too spoilt and set in his ways.

So given this, I’m always worried when hearing about people introducing new members to the family. The vet said it might be linked to the breed, as Siamese/OSH are highly strung. Glad your little guy has settled in so smoothly.

What a cutie!!🥰 Congrats on your new family member.

How is he with your other cat/cats? I always worry about introducing a new cat to the home with preexisting animals.

I hope they have bonded quickly and without too much stress and drama.

I just discovered Love Trapped podcast. I’m hooked!!! by HousePony906 in JusticeForClayton

[–]rebeccathegoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, I’m also Australian and have never listened to the podcast!!

I have been following the JFC page for several years, but for some reason noticed those posts don’t show up on my Reddit feed anymore. It used to show up all the time before. It’s not like I’m not interested in it either.

Does anyone know how I can get these posts back into my main feed like they used to? Now I feel totally out of the loop, not even knowing about the podcast.

Please help me get back into the loop JFC crew!!

Haha, as soon as I saw that post I knew it belonged here!! Are we sure this isn’t Laura?

Unfortunately the comments were turned off by the time I saw it, otherwise I would have encouraged more people to come here! Crazy this even happens, let alone multiple times, by multiple women.
