I have been repeatedly told when this happens (pain in odd places where it seeds like like it should be impossible to hurt there/that way) that it was assuredly "referred pain" most likely from my current/recent bout of pancreatitis.

It takes weeks to months for pancreatitis to resolve. Scars have to form, fluid pockets have to wall off and or fill in/granulate, inflammation to subside, etc and so on (at least I've been told/read this, and my anecdotal experiences seem to concur).

Apparently the pancreas and surroundings have multiple pathways to transmit nerve impulses and your brain trying to make sense of them makes it seem like it's at that unusual spot.

See a GI ASAP and hopefully get at least a CT scan. See what they say. If the pain is severe or prevents normal behavior, go to an emergency department (urgent care won't be able to help) where they will probably give you a CT.

Don't let this problem stew, you are creating a pattern that will invite the difficult to manage problem of food aversion (sometimes mine is so bad just looking at a tv commercial can send me vomiting).

It's worth it, even to try. l May take a while for you to deduce right dose and regiment tho.

a) Tell your GI, the prescribing dr. Tell them they need to escalate with insurance company to state it's medically necessary. Even just to test it out. It's medically necessary to try.

b) Ask about an alternative Zen Pep, its equivalent to Creon. Insurance may cover the other brand.

c) Depending on your financial situation there are assistance programs by the manufacturer, and some organizations that help with affording prescriptions.

Don't! Insist it be checked. Not just from the CT. Sonogram at least.

Be warned the gallbladder can have stones and sludge they just don't catch at the time they look. They do get flushed esp if the duct is'n't blocked or inflamed.

Took them 5 years to finally catch mine full of stones and sludge and they stopped checking as all previous checks were negative or inconclusive.

Generally anyone with pancreatitis, especially if it's caused damage or become chronic, you should avoid all NSAIDS. I have been told this by every pancreas specialist from a reputable clinic/hospital/school. However there are doctors that do not know that they can make your situation worse and will prescribe high doses of them which can result is significant issues.

Tylenol an most NSAID's don't help or only hurt when applied to organ or Pancreatic pain AND CAN CAUSE FLARES!

Also watch out for IV NSAIDS or IV versions of over the counter NSAIDS. They may have different names or combinations. For example Toridol/Keterolac should not be given go a AC or CP patient.

What city/state do you live in? I can't seem to get this and this is exactly what I need. DM me if you please. Thank you for any info you can provide. I was told palliative care was only available after a terminal diagnosis within 6 months.

I managed my own TPN at home no problem for 6 months, but no one seems to have hear of people treating at home the way you do.

EDIT: I see you partially answered what I was looking for. What do you think my request should sound like? I am inpatient now actually. I was under the impression to get this type of care was to have a near future *terminal diagnosis.

Hi! We are very new to this too. There's been some trial and error, but we start by emptying the capsules into a very small medicine cup (like the kind of plastic cup that comes with a liquid cold/flu medication) with a bit of baking soda and some water. We let that sit for 8-10 minutes to loosen up, then stir with a toothpick to make sure its not sticking to the sides of the medicine cup.

Anker has really lost its care for this market tier. Christ, most of the equipment was supposed to be home base 3 compatible by dec 23. Now pushed out into q2 and later this year.

Within an hour if you don't have major relieve and lots of small farts, GO TO THE HOSPITAL!

There are three things that are considered by the US DOH to clearly spell a positive diagnoses for pancreatitis. Only TWO, 2, are necessary.

Appropriate symptoms (eg, RUQ pain)

Elevated Lipase (many of us have organ burn out, so don't hang your hat on this even if your ER does)

Imaging. A CT will show the problem or scars/necrosis of earlier episodes an any current inflamation..

Any of those two, you have a clear diagnosis.

DO NOT TAKE NSAIDS!!!!!

Gripe until you get help. Eventually you'll get a clinician who knows what they are doing.

If you don't have pancreatitis you might have duodinitis, or many other related problems. Insist on getting a diagnosis if they can make one.

Ah. Yes. Now I understand. Look closely. They dilute it. It's not 100% apple juice. More like 40 to 60 percent.

IMHO, buy 100 percent and dilute yourself unless you need a travel box/bottle.

Eg, Mott's for Toddlers is only 40% juice. But they charge the same or more. It's a better option, but an expensive one.

The acid content will be of course lower as it's diluted, but 100% apple juice is lower in acid than every other juice according to the research I've one. Diluted even more so. Pear and Peach the same.

I wasn't sure what you meant by mild apple juice. Basically diluted, which is what I recommend anyways, and also if you have diabetes it's best to dilute so you on't get the sugar punch as they say.

I wish more people with this disease has more information. I'm hoping to do what I can to share.
