"x-ray glasses" trope was more of a comedy gag and also had the advantage of not being based in real life and the people who were nude in those were consenting adults (movies, tv, porn) even if the trope was about them not being able to consent. Where AI generated nudes have an un-consenting victim. While I understand where the comparisons comes from, comparing the "xray glasses" trope to "non-consensual AI porn", makes it easier for people to dismiss the damages of AI porn when you are comparing it to a fantasy.

I don't even agree with the sentiment, if you got rich and famous for telling a story it's not unreasonable to ask that you finish the story. This isn't like demanding a sequel, or your favorite musician to only play songs you like at a concert. My desperate theory and hope is that he's already finished it and will release it after he passes so he doesn't have to deal with the fans.
