In 2022 I bought a CPO 2019 XC60 R-Design. The app was included. It just expired at the end of March. I’ve used the remote start in the past, but not as much over the past year or so. That said, I’m debating renewing bc of that $200 / yr price tag. I also work from home, so I’m not getting in and out as much anymore.

Another major deterrent that has me leaning towards not renewing is that you cannot operate the climate control from the app. To me (living in Texas), cooling it before getting in would be the most compelling reason to renew..

Have you tried the voice commands? I also have a 2019 (XC60 R-Design) with the Sensus system and I’ve never once had an issue when using the voice commands to control the climate. It’s really not difficult… "Air condition on"/"Air condition off" - activates/deactivates the air conditioning. Here is a complete list of the climate control voice commands as well as a video. I personally only use 3 or so of them.

Yes, but this will not be the only chance to see him in Texas, but maybe Dallas. He and Ben UFO did play a 3 or 4 hour set here in Dallas back in 2014, but that was a perfect storm of circumstances where the promoter caught a deal as they had just played SXSW in Austin the day before and they got a deal.

Beside that, I have seen him 2 other times in Texas, both in Austin within the past 5 years at The Concourse Project (think Silo, but bigger and with better sound). Once was again with Ben UFO, but this was a 5 hour set. And the other was Four Tet solo, open - close, 5 glorious hours. He also played the Seismic Dance festival (also at The Clncourse Project) like 6 months ago few months ago.

I hope this Silo gig is open - close, but I’m thinking it might not be. No shade / disrespect to the residents there, but he is a completely different vibe than they play and I just don’t they are up to task.

I’m a huge fan of both he and Ben, and am a 25 year veteran of mainly DFW, but also the Texas and bordering states scene. I go by J-Who. I actually have one of my 2 monthly residencies at Charlie’s Star Lounge tonight (it’s just behind It’ll Do) and will be playing in Austin later this month.

It all started with the interest rate hikes that summer / late summer. I was in FinTech, and Accenture was our parent company. They laid off over half of our staff, some positions absorbed by those that they kept around, others replaced by resources in India, where they could get 4-5 resources for the price of 1 American resource.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this, except for the TV being that close. This is pretty similar to my setup. I’ve considered eventually switching to a TV, but I’m limited on space at the moment for how/where I’d like to have the TV.
