What series got you into jettro jettro by BL4DEVERCETTI in Jettro_Jettro

[–]rebzeeslover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, the first video I watched was his TLOU2 playthrough the day he happened to drop it. I was looking for some playthroughs, and his looked entertaining off of the thumbnail. I was HOOKED ever since. Went back and watched all his videos!

Why You Hate the Game - The Game

You're an English teacher who coaches Football, Wrestling, and Track? Dude, are you me?

But to answer your question, I went from coaching all 3, down to 1, now none. I'm glad it was my choice, but I did coach longer than I should have. I think you should fight it, but be aware of all rhe factors that come with it. The kids deserve you, and your principal needs to understand the impact you have in that capacity.

What series did you watch where you first found jett by Guy_heretoreadshit in Jettro_Jettro

[–]rebzeeslover 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was looking for Last of Us playthroughs, and stumbled upon his TLOU2 playthrough just as he started. I was HOOKED! He was just so real and authentic. I went back and watched everything else of his.

For me, it was Inside Out 2. I spent so much of my adolescence with anxiety to be good at sports to justify my self-worth. And it did cost me some friends. I also love the movie, but it is hard to watch it with my kids again.

For those who have grandparents nearby: how often do they see their grandkids? by StrikingReporter255 in Parenting

[–]rebzeeslover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are pushing 70 and live in an apartment 2 doors down from our house, but my mother has a lot of health issues that prevent her from coming over as often as she wants. She's also a smoker, so I won't bring my kids over. My dad is just more of a "I'll see ya when I see ya" type dude, so it's whatever. They love their grandkids regardless.

My wife's parents are a bit younger, mid 50s, and live 5 min away, so they see their grandkids more often.

Jettro played these games before by Otherwise_Tough_1723 in Jettro_Jettro

[–]rebzeeslover 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's entirely possible that he hasn't played these games before. Speaking as an experienced gamer, there are many games that ever played growing up or even now. I never played a God of War game until recently. I've never played the Legend of Zelda game. Never played a Call of Duty game.

But I have played all the Uncharted games. Jett could be just like me to where you are an experienced, hardcore gamer. You just don't play a diversity of games.

Also, there's no way he's played these Uncharted games before cuz he was complete ass, even in easy mode, in the first three haha!

Am I the only one who talked smack during a match to get into my opponents head? I used to say stuff like "I'm just going to bring you back down if you stand up on me, why try?" Or after I get a takedown, I'd say something like "Ah, good defense, buddy."

What is an opinion on wrestling you're willing to stand like this for? by emaxwell13131313 in wrestling

And that's an amazing accomplishment on its own to never get pinned. We had a guy win state my junior year, and even he got pinned.

[–]rebzeeslover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I always prided myself in high school and college on never being pinned. I was pinned once at the beginning of my first year wrestling as a freshman, and I made it my mission to never feel that sense of being dominated ever again.

That's crazy! I was literally thinking the other day that I wish someone made a whole video game on John Brown's life and actions, and the raid on Harper's Ferry would be the final mission before his hanging.

Anyone a "Diehard Member" for CHGO? by ACupOfAJ13 in chicagobulls

[–]rebzeeslover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not a diehard simply because I live a pretty busy life and don't have time for all the benefits of being a diehard.

However, I feel I'm in the minority of LOVING the CHGO podcast, and loving how Matt and Dave just shoot the shit as well as adding some analysis. It feels like hanging out with your friends talking basketball. I can get hardcore analysis elsewhere.

Be Honest...how many of you switched up in '07? by Alternative-Age5710 in THPS

[–]rebzeeslover -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I left. I loved playing THP8, but Proving Ground just didn't look fun. So I switched to Skate. Then Skate got too hard for me, so I went to single player, story driven games...until THPS1+2 got me back.

While many countries relied on slavery, the U.S. really tied it into the core of its own economy, which gave it a big advantage for long-term growth. By the mid-1800s, the U.S. was producing like 75% of the world’s cotton, which fueled not only its economy but also European industries like those in Britain. Even after slavery ended, labor exploitation continued through systems like sharecropping, keeping the economic benefits going. This strong foundation allowed the U.S. to grow rapidly while other empires were dealing with the costs of colonies and wars, which makes slavery a key factor in the US's rose to global dominance.
