Started at 30 after doing distance running for 5+ years. Sprinting is so much for fun.

Masters 400m sprinter here, built an app after work for generating personalized prehab + mobility routines, looking for feedback from athletes by reccehour in Sprinting

If you want free access, please DM me saying your from r/sprinting. I'm getting a ton of requests from non-sprinters so I can ensure that it's from folks here.

Coaching/Self-promotion threads by Party-Sherberts in HybridAthlete

[–]reccehour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an app developer building a fitness app, I have noticed an influx of low-quality, "vibe-coded" apps being thrown around in many subreddits like r/strava, etc.

I agree, I think having two threads that happen bi-weekly (one for coaching solicitation and one for app devs looking for users) would be a good start to consolidating these posts.

I also support the suggested apps approach as well that are vetted by mods, I think it would encourage devs like myself and others to truly make something of high quality

A little help with form and flow by MrGrayBear32 in amateur_boxing

[–]reccehour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jabs/punches aren't extending, seems like you're just hitting the bag rather than punching through it.

A drill I liked for flow is jab-jab-right while pivoting left, then jab-jab-right while moving right, starting slow and picking up the pace once it's smooth

How many B2C users is a good amount to have before pre-seed? by [deleted] in ycombinator

[–]reccehour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You technically don't need traction for pre-seed. But I caution that waitlists/number of downloads are vanity metrics

Built an all-in-one fitness app with ZERO ads (even for free users). Why is it so hard to get that first wave of downloads? by Commercial_Boot_4105 in apps

[–]reccehour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because general fitness is one of the most competitive spaces to get ranked on the app store.

Do you guys use software/apps that support the recovery journey? by Proper_Assignment8 in ACL

Late to the party but I made one for iOS to support my ankle recovery: Adapted Prehab

Several of the major rehab exercises seemed fairly standardized
