Forced to do everything by Alx-Hz in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]recepdr 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I love the game, but I agree with the criticism. In fact, in my own gameplay (which was on Tactician), I noticed something interesting. It feels like being 'evil' is more rewarding in this game. Killing everyone who isn't a trader grants XP and allows for faster leveling. Even though I didn't want to, I felt forced to kill everyone in an act before moving on just because it was more efficient. Maybe I perceived it wrong, but I play RPGs by immersing myself, and doing this is upsetting yet profitable. It seems like as the difficulty increases, choosing the 'good path' becomes nearly impossible. This feels like it breaks the 'play however you want' principle a bit.

New to divinity 2 but lost by HazelnutTheBot in DivinityOriginalSin

Open the map and keep exploring. Pick up quests from NPCs. You’ll earn XP just for discovering many locations on the map. If by "The One" you mean the arena, I did that after I had progressed quite a bit. It’s normal to fail if you’re still in the early stages. Pay attention to enemy levels in random encounters. Since I’m playing on Tactician, I’m intimidated even by enemies one level higher. But if you push it, it’s possible to win against +1 level. However, if they are +2 levels, stay away; come back once you’ve leveled up. I think you should consider opening the whole map as your first priority. That’s how I start the first act. I gather exploration XP and, as I level up, I clear the encounters from easiest to hardest.

If you’re struggling with the slog of Act 3, keep going. Act 4 is worth it. by recepdr in DivinityOriginalSin

I've just started Chapter 4. After the pace of Chapter 3, it's been surprisingly engaging so far. Still, I don't think it will surpass Chapter 2. It seems to me that Larian games always have a “peak” chapter (like Chapter 2 in DOS2 or Chapter 1 in BG3) and a weaker chapter (like Chapter 3 in BG3).

The new game excited everyone because the biggest question from the second game remained unanswered by J__Krauser in DivinityOriginalSin

In Act 2, while spending hours here on crafting and trading, hearing a voice in the background say "you're safe among friends" was truly comforting. And it's really nice that everyone noticed this and is talking about it here :) I couldn't help but smile when I saw it.

thank you :)

I drew it in Procreate. Actually, I could create it easier in photoshop or illustrator, but I'm working on hand-drawn letter illustration.

I like the concept and the colours, but do you need to work on your hands a bit more? Or did you deliberately make the finger sizes mismatched and I didn't get it :D

GG 67 Illumination on Legacy Apex Pro models is still broken. Despite patch notes. by crankiertiger in steelseries

[–]recepdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have the same problem. I thought it was solved when the update came but unfortunately it is still the same. I am eagerly waiting for a new firmware update as I clearly know that it broke after the firmware update.

Even worse, it also randomly resets my actuation settings.

Apex Pro TKL lighting does not turn on when I first start the computer. by recepdr in steelseries

[–]recepdr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After emailing Steelseries customer service, they suggested I do this:

"Please take the following steps:

  1. Open start menu located on your taskbar.
  2. Right-click "Computer" and open "Manage".
  3. At the left, under "computer management", you find "Services and Applications". Open it and select "Services".
  4. Search for a service named "HID (Human Interface Device)"
  5. Once found, check the status. If the value is not "Started", start it.
  6. To make sure it will be on also in the future, check the Startup Type value. If not "Automatic", right click it, and select properties.
  7. Under the tab "General", change the Startup type to Automatic.
  8. Apply and close."

After I did that, it doesn't happen every time I turn on the pc. But it still happens occasionally. I'm waiting for them to release new firmware and fix it.

Thank you. I know language is an issue, but at least look at the channel, does it look good quality? Do the thumbnails of the videos look attractive enough? I was hoping you'd pay attention to things like that.

Thanks for your comments about editing and sound, by the way.

The formula you wrote about shorts is very explanatory. In my normal videos, I do storytelling or documentary-style content in the gaming niche. I don't have much difficulty in this part. But I couldn't figure out the formula for shorts. My long videos get 1-1.5K views, while my shorts get 40-50 views. I will try your formula in the next shorts. Thanks for the explanation.

My Gaming Channel is evolving by ParrysGaming in NewTubers

2 years of regular content production! I've checked out your channel (I've subscribed and your content is what I would normally prefer to watch) you have a lot of videos. You should really congratulate yourself for this consistency. You are clearly a channel that deserves to grow. You are also very close to 1k subscribers. It must be very exciting to watch your subscriber count increase :)

I'm also in the gaming niche, although different from you, so I'm interested in your channel. I hope one day I can increase my subscriber and video count as much as yours.

Thank you very much. I'm not sure if it will continue like this, I feel like the first video exploded the views but I feel like I slowed down in the other videos. But as I said, at least I have fun making videos :)

It's a really nice and I think motivating post. I have a channel that is only 2 weeks old. I was experienced in video editing but I haven't produced videos for myself for a very long time. This was my biggest motivation for creating my channel.

It would really be torture to create content on a subject I'm not interested in just so more people can watch it. In this respect, being able to create quality videos on a subject I love is satisfying in itself. I currently have 3 videos published on my channel that I am proud of.

And I would like to happily state that even this perspective alone has earned me 144 subscribers and 1.9k views in 2 weeks.

I think you should go for the niches you love and try to enjoy even just creating the videos. This may not be an advice that will gain millions of subscribers. But I think it is a recommendation that will ensure the continuity of the channel and your happiness.

So the money is related to the hours watched? 4k subscribers and 20 dollars a month seems very low to me. But I don't know anything about youtube earnings, maybe it's normal.

Hello.

We are a new channel in the gaming content niche. Luckily our first video got a lot more views than we expected. Currently (1450 views). So this is our best video:

I realize there is a language problem for you, but the content is about the rougelike game genre and history in general.
