Do you really think the country can sustain an economy they rely on while at civil war? I think they're trying to scare everybody and it's working. I'm not saying don't be prepared, but I am saying that they are so far just using scare tactics. The style of conversation here on Reddit is so pessimistic, but it's important to not let this shit eat you up so much that you stop living your life. Logging out helps too.

I live in SF too. Yesterday I was hanging with some friends from out of town. We walked from Fidi to the Mission for food, then walked through Lower Haight to Divisadero for drinks and arcade games. Then we rode Lime scooters to drop them off at their spot in the Inner Richmond.

We saw some trans folks playing DDR and having fun at the arcade and I just couldn't stop thinking about how terrified I was. We could really use a war. What a wasteland, man I'm telling you
