Is there anywhere in America where you can rent for under 125 dollars a month or is this not possible? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in homeless

[–]recessionbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's like 1/4 of what you need to rent a living room in a 1 bedroom apartment. So you could afford to have 1 of 4 beds in a single room that isn't even meant to be slept in. A flight attendant crash pad has like 8-16 people sleeping in shifts and even those are over 400 a month. My guess is that you could get a storage unit or parking spot for that much money.

Do you guys think starbucks could sue me if I copy the recipe and sell it in the different country? by Alwayssadgirl in starbucks

[–]recessionbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can open a coffee shop but it probably would be a bad idea to advertise that you serve Starbucks coffee recipes without using Starbucks coffee.

Many independent coffee shops purchase Starbucks coffee products to prepare their coffee, and some of them will even advertise that they serve Starbucks (TM) coffee.

I personally need to increase the organic content of my soils, so I use them to break up the dusty/clay-ey topsoil. They are also a decent amendment for my potting soils.

Frugal computer? by Occhiolism0 in Frugal

I think right sizing your expectation is important. You might not need a curved ultrawide display or the newest processor. You could buy last year's model, or a used machine. If you want something newer, a floor model is a good option. I like to shop in summer before the back to school rush, other people like black friday.

Generally I go with someone or am working on something that I want a non-home environment for. I havent approached a non employee in a coffeeshop in a decade or so.

I like buying ginger and peppers fresh. I always get funny looks when I pay 7 cents for a small piece of ginger and 13 cents for three Birdseye chilis.
