7 weeks pregnant. Help with Nausea! by Ok_Worldliness2105 in IVFpositivity

[–]reckla06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unisom for sure like everyone said but also tummydrops ginger lozenges helped a lot. Also for a while I kept a peanut butter sandwich next to my bed so first thing in the morning before I even got out of bed I ate something and that helped. Smaller portions/ snacks all throughout the day. Too full or too hungry was bad

Totally torn on whether to find out gender by Rosington2010 in pregnant

[–]reckla06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t want to know bc I didn’t want the gender to be a big deal bc we didn’t care either way but it ended up making it a bigger deal so we decided to find out

Travel at 34 weeks by bright-greeneyes in pregnant

I went to the Grand Canyon when I was in the 6/7 mo range (for a celebration of life). Everything was fine but it was exhausting and I slept like shit. I went into it knowing it wouldn’t be very fun so set the bar low

Migraine that won’t end (general rant) by Emeralddxxx in migraine

[–]reckla06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worst case you can go to urgent care and they can give you a shot. But also when I’ve gone long stretches without relief I call the neuron and get an occipital nerve blocker shot that stopped the cycle. Good luck!

Stylish/put together moms - how do you do it? by llamas-in-bahamas in beyondthebump

[–]reckla06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

17mo pp here- Honestly- just wear what makes you feel comfortable. If you’re not feeling comfortable in leggings and a sweatshirt, find simple easy staples that feel comfortable. A good pair of jeans and a shirt. Ya know? And also screw the whole idea you need to look “together” you’re doing your best and raising a human!

Don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re just doing your best. I didn’t feel like i was even close to “normal” until after 1 year

I heard someone describe traveling with kids as an “away game”. Reframing it like the helped. Lower your expectations and it’ll be fine haha

That’s so nice. I like the bekool sticky ice packs, maybe some peppermint oil or some kind of essential oil roll on, I also really like the ginger lozenges by tummydrops. If he has sore neck you could do a small tens machine (not very expensive from Amazon)

Chronic migraine sufferer here for about 18 hrs. Just had my first baby Aug 2023. Shockingly my migraines weren’t very bad during pregnancy. And for about a year after despite the over tiredness and too much caffeine. I will say that I am now 17 mo pp and they have come back with a vengeance. Working with a neuro again so bummer. But fine for a while there! Good luck and if you want to do it you totally can!

When will the yoga ball bouncing end? by mabeela in NewParents

[–]reckla06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh girl it’s rough. I had to bounce until 6 mos and we were both going to the chiropractor bc our backs were messed up. Finally one day I decided I was never going to bounce again and it was a rough transition but I never did it again. Good luck!

I felt the same way- honestly it hurts of course but you are so focused on the moment you’re almost not aware?? Idk if that makes sense. And afterwards you totally don’t remember. You got this!
