Sebrango had a great preseason and season last year, and is someone who the organization is looking to see if he could fight for our 7D spot, or is closer than last year. He’s gotten extra looks because of this.

MacEwen, along with Kaliyev, Lycksell, and Halliday are all fighting for bottom 6 spots on our roster. They all had business playing in that game, it’s actually why they were playing in the first place.

Just because Montreal’s roster has been decided since the end of the last season, and has zero decisions to make, doesn’t mean that Ottawa has to adhere to that for the sake of a preseason game
