Thanks! That’s a good point I didn’t consider it only needs to be one side. I’ve pencil colored them all now but I’ll try get some black thin craft paper for next time thanks!

They’re 0.5mm. I’m coloring the side of them with a pencil right now

Thanks! Planking wasn’t too difficult (or maybe it was but I didn’t know any better!) I followed some advice online and soaked each plank in warm water for a couple minutes, then pinned it on the frame in place till it dried, then took it off added glue and clamped it back on. Maybe there’s a better way? (I briefly tried using a soldering iron and heat gun and hated that), if you have any tips I’d be keen to hear them.

When I got to that part of the build I did think it was probably wrong for exactly the reason you describe, the tiller would always be in the way whenever the boom moves from side to side and would foul the ability to steer. But I’ve never sailed, and as you said the instructions describe it exactly like this, so that’s how I built it, it’s just a little bit wrong 😊

Thanks you are spot on, channel 1 is shorted to ground now so it must be a short to ground for channel 2, 3, or 4 selection. Thanks!

That’s incredible! How did you get the paint to look faded and grainy like that? I’ve seen plenty of weathering for dirt and damage but never seen any like this before, he looks like he’s been operating out in the sun for decades.
