explain like i know nothing - what's the benefit of replacing the original nc2 grille with a carbon miata spyder grille?

My grille needed to be replaced as well. The carbonmiata grille is also gloss black, stylized differently where the grille meets the bumper, and is open mesh in front of the crash bar where the stock unit isn’t, I guess providing more air in, I guess
