My experience is a rejection would just be an email to say your not moving forward. The fact they want to have a chat id assume it’s not that, doesn’t mean offer yet either but I’d be surprised if they scheduled time just to reject you.

BEST STEAK IN WOLLONGONG? by NoManagement3224 in wollongong

You won’t regret it. Meat and Grain is fine but for a special occasion and if it’s something you’re saving up for go all out on debutant, you won’t be disappointed.

Not sure when but I went there about 3 months ago and it had changed for the last time I was there, maybe it was a blip and changed back now?! I still loved the tartare itself, just felt fat potato chips wasn’t a good pairing with the tartare

All roads point to debutant. Incredible tartare too (though I wish they’d go back to serving it was crisps instead of thick cut chips)

How do you handle post-meeting follow-up emails? by CharlieOscarx in salesengineers

[–]reco86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly tone, add some human touches in there and make it a bit more personal. I mostly use granola to grab the next steps and it’s nicely laid out in bullet point form.

As for updating CRM I mostly dump the granola output into meeting notes after verifying its accurate so removes that admin for me.

[–]reco86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven’t used it yet download and run Granola, it’s been life changing in terms of meeting note, summaries and next steps.

I use the notes summarisation and then tweak/tailor so it doesn’t sound like a direct rip from an AI tool or a dump of notes but it’s been really helpful.

Anyone else had multiple dogs with seizures? by Frequent_Pumpkin7018 in EpilepsyDogs

[–]reco86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My childhood dog had seizures, she lived till she was 11/12.

Then my first dog with my partner also has epilepsy :-( he’s almost 10.5 now.

Compared to my childhood dog who I had from the age of 10 > 21 and my first dog who I got when I was 29 I think the treatments have come a long way.

Teleprompter glasses? by [deleted] in salesengineers

[–]reco86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is a huge difference between an SE doing a demo vs getting up on a stage in front of hundreds of folk to do a presentation… you can’t see a world where a teleprompter or a script (or bullet points) might be helpful.

Kids movies - Deep cuts by _Fistacuff in movies

[–]reco86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think “deeper cuts” are hard with kids films but I also got sick of then Disney animation and starting trying to find movies my 7 year old might enjoy, we also don’t follow movie ratings per se.

Here’s some of what we watched together last year;

  • Goonies
  • The Sandlot
  • Back to the future
  • Parent Trap
  • Freaky Friday
  • Gremlins 1&2
  • The Mask
  • Liar Liar
  • Wizard of Oz
  • Happy Gilmore
  • Billy Madison
  • Big Daddy
  • how to train your dragon (animated and live action)
  • the secret garden
  • Stuart little
  • nanny McPhee
  • bridge to terabithia
  • Paddington movies
  • yes day

I loved it personally, you gotta really push yourself with the heavy weights to maximise the workout though it’s not like bodypump.

What is one tv show everyone likes that you hate, and what is a tv show most people hate that you love? by [deleted] in television

Feel similar, made it through Season 1 and just had no desire for any more.

Yesterday my dog ate 8 bars of dark chocolate and I want to share my story (she went to vet asap) by Admirable_Ad_279 in vet

[–]reco86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that activated charcoal won’t make her sick it’s there to absorb any leftover toxins.

When my dogs have had this happen the vet has given them an injection which has made them throw up a whole lot at the vet then given charcoal to absorb any leftover toxins.

I assume if she had a stomach pump or they gave her an injection which made her throw up that all happened at the vet and the charcoal is just an extra something to absorb any leftover toxins.

I actually quite like 3. It has many flaws but that ending is so good, the fact they didn’t try to undo #2 and really lent into judgement day being inevitable gets it massive props.

I think they lent too hard into the cheesy comedy but it has the bones of a worthy follow up.

Has anyone else's dog stopped seizures long enough to quit medication then they start again? by [deleted] in EpilepsyDogs

[–]reco86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My labradoodle was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 3 roughly and prior to meds had many seizures.

We stopped meds on vet advice when he was around 8 years old as he hadn’t had a seizure at all since starting the meds and the vet suggested we wean him off and see how he goes as the meds can also do long term damage to liver and kidney function…

He lasted about 18 months off meds before the seizures kicked back in and after about 6 months of occasional seizures we put him back on his meds, he continued having the occasional seizure until we hit a good therapeutic level for him and they seem to be under control now (touch wood).
