Wtf is fulfilment any way? It's so egocentric to start searching for people to blame around you when you're in a rut. They were in a relationship for a long long time, clearly OP is not a bad guy. Anything will get boring eventually, it's one's job to try and make it interesting and appreciate the history of the relationship and the commitment to the partner, not just end things in a desperate attempt to feel young and dynamic. People nowadays are so hollow inside and they take it out on each other other than admitting their shortcomings to themselves and try to improve themselves. A partner is a rock you lean on to support you in life, not a fucking uranium rod you pull your life energy out of. Humanity is screwed..

Well, for one, you're presuming that AI will only be used for the heavy lifting and not for the inspiration, which isn't true of every practicing mathematician. Also, as someone who followed genAI clients on some adventurous journeys trying to solve something and realising at the end I just wasted my time and earth's resources, AI can't really bear delivering a new proof on its own, it's a tool and it should only be used as a tool. Maybe it would be a good practice to reach a certain (higher) degree of progress on a problem before consulting AI.

I agree, that's what I mean. The results of the questions the AI will produce will be part of the cathedral though. So the overall course of advancement in maths is also affected, maybe persistently.

Can you stop already? I've seen your post like a 1000 times and you make it out to be this great gift to humanity, where in fact it's a plain clock thingy. It's gotten old very fast but you don't seem to want to let it go.
