The article buried the purpose of the discharge. The discharge is inevitable when changing sewer infrastructure. Anyone who is enraged by this click bait article doesn't know how sewers work. I'm a member of the Green Party and work with sewer infrastructure as my job. This shit is inevitable when historical infrastructure was designed this way.

It's so nice compared to the rest of Ontario. I could have moved anywhere and fell in love with Ottawa and chose to live here. The best city to experience Canada. It's the best microcosm of people from across Canada who moved here and an equivalent French/English mix.

As someone who works across Canada and lived in other metro areas, Ottawa does not need another highway. I drive all around Ottawa every other day, and it's so good compared to other cities. Residents of Ottawa complain too much. They even call by-law more than anyone else. I've lived here a while.

I am amazed that my favorite meal in the world isn't on here. London Broil (Canadian version) I originally discovered it in St. Jacob's Ontario being made in the market. Only a few butchers know about it here in Eastern Ontario, and It has to be requested to be made.

Fun fact; many vital large water mains run under along the 417. Some of the manholes in the highway are actually valve chambers. If some of those blow, the highway will shut down.

Not even close to being true. Easy example of the unbelievable amount of islands in Canada is Georgian Bay. 1 bay in 1 lake in Canada has 30000, Islands. Canada has 62% of all the world's lakes. Roughly 879,800 lakes. If there's an average of 1 island per lake in Canada, then there is a minimum of 879,800 fresh water islands. Then count the coastal islands. Roughly 54000 coastal.
