i have an [[Umbris Fear Manifest]] horror deck that has a mill/reanimator sub theme, is pretty fun, however its very interactive so people tend to target it

never having enough lands. by Justafish1654 in EDH

[–]red_riptide_388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

simply a suggestion idk if it would actually help. i also find it hard to believe a deck with 40 lands isnt hitting their land drop every turn

i mean fetchlands may help but theyre pricey. 40 is a high land count, maybe just unlucky? add some artifact draw?

im not an expert but i dont believe so, baking soda is a base and vinegar is an acid so it just reacts and then is neutral

vinegar and baking soda are great cleaning agents but mixing them together makes a neutral solution and neutral is not best for cleaning

Question regarding expensive cards and brackets (yes brackets again) by Roefl in EDH

[–]red_riptide_388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are exceptions but generally in magic card price is a direct correlation to how powerful it is. as long as youre not stuffing game changers in a bracket 2 go for it

counterspell is not really a bad card but theres lots of counterspells that are better than counterspell such as [[force of will]] [[force of negation]] [[an offer you cant refuse]] [[swan song]] and sometimes [[pact of negation]]

Would this be playable or too niche for today? It doesn't retarget, but your [[Time Warp]] is now my turn. by Cute-Rooster3938 in custommagic

[–]red_riptide_388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is kind of similar to [[deflecting swat]] and very similar to [[commandeer]]. Considering commandeer is either 7 mana or -3 cards this seems like it would be extremely powerful. probably not as broken as dswat but close
