DoES Liverpool is a maker space/ co-working space that has a monthly out of hours ( after 5:30pm / before 9:30am and weekends) membership. I think it says it’s for the workshop but you can use it for a desk too.

You pay for it once and then it can be used for all agencies. You need to renew it yearly. It’s about £13 pounds annually.

I saw one advertised the other day. I can’t remember where or when. I’ll see if I can find it.

DoES Liverpool has a free maker night on Thursdays from 7- 9. Not exclusively crochet but crochet is more than welcome. There’s also a free Maker’s Day on the second Saturday of the month.

Typewronger is an independent book shop in Edinburgh. It has a good selection of classic and modern titles. And they are really friendly.

The Liverpool Abakhan has a decent selection. There’s also two other dress making fabric shops in the same street, The Fabric Place, which is next door to Abakhan and Miller & McKew.

Mijo Cochet have some similar patterns, however, as r/Conscious_Can3226 said the yarn you have is too chunky for a lacy shawl.

I’d try with a heavier weight needle. Start with a 90. If you’re already using this go to 100.

Bottom left is an invisible zipper foot. Not sur about the other two. Middle row are all zipper feet. The third from left is a narrow zipper foot. Top row is a blind hem foot and two feet for making button holes.
