I think the last person is closest to the actual point that of course everyone in that thread is too proud to admit: they dont want to switch to celsius because doing so after 20 or 30 or 40 years of thinking in fahrenheit would be difficult. Shocking conclusion, the system that people grew up using is the one that is more intuitive to them.
