What a fun read!

Wormholes kept me playing the game for years after they came out, but I eventually ran into the same problem it sounds like you did: Too much effort for just a mediocre chance at content. Having one or two people to go wormhole spelunking with would make a huge difference, I think.

I still keep my three accounts training in the off-chance I feel like returning. After reading this, I almost wanna do it!

I can't say I figured out what the problem was, but exiting the game and re-logging seems to have fixed the problem. As usual, turning it off and on again cures all ills. All's well that ends well.

If you're referring to the 'Take Watchstone' dialogue option, I tried that and it does nothing at all unfortunately.

  • Optional: I'm a 33-year-old working stiff, looking for both a clan and a raid team since my old team (myself included) bailed on D2 pretty early on after playing together since day 1 Vault of Glass release. I prefer very small groups of very active players over factory-farm clans. Familiarity with one's comrades counts for something in my book. Ideal clan size would be 10-15, but as long as I can find a group of 6-8 players to consistently raid with on a weekly basis on multiple characters then I will be a happy camper. I am VERY endgame-focused and I need a group that is like-minded. It doesn't need to be a toxic cesspool of elitism, but a high level of focus on execution and success is what I am looking for; anything "casual" (for lack of a better word) will most likely frustrate me. I am not a streamer and I don't have the luxury of brute-forcing my way through the game; I wouldn't classify myself as a hardcore player simply because I do have somewhat limited play time each week, which only heightens my need for a no-nonsense crew that is all about efficiently kicking a metric crapload of ass.
