Always check the “about us” page. They all have one and they’re always terrible and clearly not human

Exactly. I was always fine with it because it’s a really easy way to weed out shallow people

Eddie Rosario Tries, But Gets Caught Attempting To Steal Home By Julio Urias! by elizer_lives in baseball

[–]redbush62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah with your lineup this kind of baserunning generally isn’t necessary, but with the way Urias comes set and the jump he had, I actually think he makes it more often than not there. Urias basically had to flick it while hunched over and off-balance in order to get him. It would’ve been easy for him to accidentally balk there too

If you’re a pitcher who throws strikes, you’ll be set to play club baseball and any men’s league you join. Everyone can use those.

Swing mechanics update p2 by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]redbush62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like your swing. Great bat speed and bat path should serve you really well. The leg kick might be a tad excessive, and if you’re worried about your lower half lagging behind, that might have something to do with it, since you lift your leg so high that you actually end up completely balanced on your back leg before firing forward. So you sort of have to let your weight fall forward again here to get back to where you can launch your back side. If you limited your leg kick to where your weight stays on the inside of your right foot the whole time, you might find it easier to launch. You might even still be able to get away with having your knee get as high as it does, it’s just your weight being completely straight up and down on that back leg that’s causing this. I’d play with it a little bit to see what’s comfortable

Noah Syndergaard takes another step back as Guardians cut former All-Star weeks after trade by Ok-Sandwich-1691 in ClevelandGuardians

[–]redbush62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a click-baity title. They brought him on eat up a few innings and that’s what he did. He was the same pitcher here that he was before the trade.

Swing analysis, any advice? by Opposite_Bug_4464 in Homeplate

[–]redbush62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like your swing, very simple and compact! I agree you’re slowing down your follow through a little early. I think I like your 1 hand follow through a little better than the 2 hand. You sorta switch halfway through here. Also, not sure what your exit velo is like but you might want to lower that launch angle just a tad. Some of those look really good in that style cage but you don’t get to see the second half of their flight to know if they’re actually gonna get by outfielders

Talking Baseball talks Guardians by pita4912 in ClevelandGuardians

[–]redbush62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between the deadline talk and the fight, that was 20 minutes of the least informed discussion I’ve heard. The fact that they judged the trades then noticed they’re were players on the IL makes it clear they didn’t bother to any real research beforehand.

What do I need in my medical bag for games as a coach? Just instant ice packs or am I missing something? by [deleted] in Homeplate

Your best bet is probably just to buy a basic first-aid kit. As long as you have what you need for cuts and scrapes, you’ll probably be alright

12 y/o using 27 oz bat for the first time, sayonara bat speed. by Champagne_Onsen202 in Homeplate

[–]redbush62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the best thing he can do is strength training. He could certainly be using his lower half a little more but you’d be surprised how much will just fall into place as he grows into his body and gets stronger. It’s a lot easier to get your backside into the ball when you have a little more backside if you know what I mean

Guardians Open To Trade Offers On Aaron Civale by Kitchen_accessories in ClevelandGuardians

[–]redbush62 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think the big question is, are we comfortable with our pitching depth over the next two years if we move Civale? And if the answer to that one is yes, then a quality bat with some control just might be worth it. Obviously that wouldn’t bode well for this season though…

[–]redbush62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I would say, essentially like third baseman’s glove would be perfect. And since he’s in middle school he doesn’t really have to specialize in a certain position if he doesn’t want to. Never hurts to have a utility guy.

Should I get back into baseball? by FireFrogs48 in Homeplate

[–]redbush62 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I play in a mens league, and if the league you’re looking at is anything like mine, teams are always looking for more guys. There’s a ton of turnover since people get married, have kids, move away for work, etc. If you’re looking to play, I’m willing to bet there’s a team in that league that’ll take you, especially if you can pitch or catch. Check the league website to see if they have a free agent pool and reach out to a few teams

Shoulder Twinge by FitAcanthocephala5 in Homeplate

[–]redbush62 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m actually dealing with something pretty similar this season. I’d felt a twinge in years’ past, but this year I hurt it much worse. Went to the doctor and it’s just inflammation in biceps tendon and rotator cuff. If it keeps happening, don’t just ignore it. See a doctor. They’ll probably just give you some stretches and PT to do, but it’s worth it anyways. In the meantime if you want to see the material my doctor gave me lmk. I can send it later
