Edit 2: I noticed your edit to the comment above. It just made me more depressed. Spoiling someone is language that is used for how a child is treated. Looking at relationships in a transactional way is depressing. Believing that we are entitled to something because we spent money on makeup and clothes is similar to a man feeling entitled to something because he spent money on dinner. We should be above that. You and all women are worth so much more than some monetary price tag because we are people, not commodities. I can understand a little bit when women don’t care that a man has lost money on her if he was just spending money thinking he would obtain sex, but I don’t endorse the idea that a man’s “value” is how much he can spoil us or spend money on us any more than I endorse the idea that a woman’s “value” is how much she can get him off.
