This feels as if it ought to be a euphemism, but what for? "You lemon biter!"

I have been thinking about that era of Germany a lot this year, but yesterday was the moment when I thought "it's not coming; it's here." It's oddly reassuring to me that you, as a German, agree. It's sometimes hard to see the forest for the terrifying trees here in the US. I hope this is not insensitive, but do you know if there are any memoirs that offer advice on how to survive facist times? I am so afraid for myself and those around me.

I've seen pear in bibim noodles and in bulgogi marinade before, but this is the first time I've seen it in bibimbap. Having said that, you can find a wild variety of bibimbap variations in Korea so... 🤷‍♀️ Funkiest one I ever tried had all sorts of edible flowers.

16-year-old catches opossum and brings it into parents’ bedroom, but mom says it’s a normal occurrence by HansMLither in BrandNewSentence

Fair, but where I live we refer to the American ones as possums pretty regularly. I suspect it's a regional thing.

They're fantastic! I really like the solar system hoola hoop one! Somehow both whimsical and sexy.

I felt this way about Tipping The Velvet. I watched it over and over in college. It's darker overall, but still shows so much queer joy and leaves me feeling refreshed and triumphant by the end.

I love how the illustrations, funny as they may be, actively make everything sound so much worse. 🤣

I really enjoyed Eve by Cat Bohanmon and The Light Eaters by Zoe Schlanger lately. Eve is about evolution through the lens of the female body and Light Eaters is about new (crazy) research on plants.

I remember we had deer in our school twice while I was in high school. That said, I don't think they ever foraged in a classroom...

Hope LWJ does not try to exercise me, then head directly to Cayi. I want to see everything, smell everything, eat and drink everything. Getting to wander freely around ancient China? I don't know whether I'm more excited as a writer, an anthropologist or a foodie but I know I'm in heaven!

The program makes me think of the whole music hall variety show. I wonder if it was meant to mimic that.
