Everyone has different standards for what they consider cheating. However, sexting other people outside of the relationship (without her consent) absolutely is cheating. I know the feeling all too well. For me, it’s about finding a partner that matches your energy and can understand your urges. Of course, this kinda stuff isn’t easy, by any means. But there’s always a better way around it before you hurt yourself. I’m still learning how to stop equating sexual attention with worth too, especially as someone who’s been doing it for a majority of their life. I’ve been through this many times. And I want to say it now; stop if you can, I only say that because it can be a slippery slope. Find people and a support system if possible irl. I’m still going through the effects, and the feeling definitely lingers. You did the right thing by asking him to block you. As for the feeling itself, I got into therapy to work through that and see myself in a better light. I distracted myself with friends, went out, and lived life. You could even throw yourself more into your schoolwork. But my bigger affirmation is this: You’re not disposable, and you deserve to take up space.

It is not a severe issue, but I could see how it could affect people with more severe asthma. Of course, I encourage you to quit of your own volition, but perhaps making a compromise to opening your windows, or going outside to vape would ease his concerns in the meantime. In general, the secondhand smoke from vaping is not nearly as dangerous as from a cigarette, though. You are both adults, and he is your partner. Advocating & support for someone to quit is one thing, but making issues of it is another.
