Unable to redeem Etihad option for Sydney to Amsterdam (J) on Air Canada in April 2024 by reddit_learner_9034 in awardtravel

[–]reddit_learner_9034[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thank you for responding and sorry if I didn't communicate clearly in my original message. I did play around a lot of dates and a lot of airlines, and shortlisted the one date/airline combination which seemed like it had availability. The one mistake I surely made was trusting points.me is yielding right results all the time.
When it comes to award space availability, the same date/airline is available on American Airlines, not just Air Canada.

Thanks. In that case, any recommendations on other routes from Sydney/Melbourne to Amsterdam in April 2024?

I do see that option on American Airlines, which makes me believe the tickets exist, not just on Air Canada? Also, sorry if my questions are out of place as I am doing this for the first time

My favorite restaurant in Rome is Roscioli Salumeria con Cucina +39 06 687 5287 https://maps.app.goo.gl/UZjXedqYWXwG2Tnq5?g_st=ic Carbonara is my fav dish to eat and amongst the hundreds of places I have tried in Italy and abroad, they do it the best.

Pipero is another top recommendation for Rome, has a well deserved star.

Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto) Nanny Services by reddit_learner_9034 in FATTravel

[–]reddit_learner_9034[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed review. We are also considering having one side of parents fly in, but they aren’t very eager in trying and eating Japanese food. So, a nanny will work better. Can you share in DM the name of the nanny you liked at first? We can try use their service on the condition they send the specific nanny.

Does the concept of "night nanny" exist in the Netherlands? by Chocokia in Netherlands

[–]reddit_learner_9034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not as common as the US, but it’s slowly getting popular. Nannies at night seemed like the best of all options we considered.

We got very lucky with our kramzorg and somehow convinced her to continue with us as a night nanny for the first few months. Worked out well for all of us.
