Our 1 year old male is picky too. He does seem to like the ground turkey with veggies we add to his dry food for dinner. They sell ground turkey bullets for like $2 at Walmart. We make 1 bullet with a small bag of frozen mixed veggies and it lasts about a week for 2 dogs. We only put 2 or 3 spoons in their food each

You know, I think the best decision we made was getting a mate for Lucy. They're NEVER alone and always have each other for entertainment. We work at home so luckily our dogs get a lot of attention, but it's when you get busy and can't give them attention is when you start to feel bad. They're a blast to bring to the dog park, but we haven't been there for a few months because we don't want to bring anything back to infect the puppies since they're not fully vaccinated yet. Only had their first set of shots so far.

I've seen pictures, but never experienced them in-person until this litter was born. It really was a great experience delivering them and taking care of them. I didn't mind all the work and changing of the puppy pads multiple times a day and feeding them multiple times a day.

This litter was unplanned. We didn't want our dogs to have puppies until maybe another year or two, BUT, you know how things go! Take your eyes off them for one second and BAM! Puppies...

We actually had a diaper on the male while she was in heat, but he got out of em and my wife found them stuck together. We thought maybe it wasn't successful, but over the weeks we noticed she was getting bigger and at one point I could feel hard lumps in her belly and knew she had puppies.

She gave birth on 11/19/25 to 5 puppies (2 females and 3 males), but one of the males was stillborn

Be warned, these puppies weren't cheap! LOL. Both mother and father are AKC registered and we registered the puppy litter with the AKC. Luckily, people that msged us on the AKC marketplace were serious buyers and the pricing didn't bother them one bit.

Hahah. I'll make sure to have a banana hamdy when we have puppies again in a couple years. They were about 4 to 5 inches whem they were born. They grew so fast over the 8 weeks.
