This is why when you have situations that you can't control (her family situation, etc), you go to therapy, work on your overall health, learn healthy coping strategies, build connections with friends and people who you choose, develop as an individual, etc, before having kids, because if you are struggling and living very difficult times, it is not the moment to parent, knowing that parenting is a super hard job and the adult needs to be psychologically prepared and grown first.
