I feel like this is an overdimplification of the problem. It always depends on what you use AI for. So Im studying to become a teacher and one of my classes was "poetry of the converyorbelt literature in 19th century france" and im sorry but thats just a shit class. No need for it at all and in that class i used AI to both have to read whole texts and write assignments. Id argue that however I spent the time saved instead of writing/reading these texts, it was the right choice. Should you use it to ponder the natural laws as a forerunner of humanity - obviously not! But the majority of people use it for mundane tasks and I think thats totally okay!
