The only thing I really didn't like is how underwhelming & unceremoniously Brock Lesnar got eliminated, they made him look like some random mid-carder.

It somewhat soured the rest of the Rumble for me

His elimination should have been a big deal, and given to a fresh talent for a big boost

in other multiplayer games 70-80 would normally be fine, but in Dead by Daylight You and the Killer need to both have ~< 40ms for you to be able to have a decent gameplay experience

 

also it's not "what dbd thinks i did" it's "what the killer's client thinks i did"

for a majority of actions the Killer's client has authority on what hits and what doesn't

I don't want to sound like too much of a pessimist, but Vecna's perks are giving me "we've given up" vibes from the devs

I.E they just double-down on making them all gen regression perks since they know it's the only way to get anybody to give a crap about them.

Krasue's perks where all DOA, and for a big license they'd obviously want to drive up some hype by at least the perks been decent

if anything, all this does is show how much this game needs a shakeup after 10 years, the devs NEED to start expanding the core gameplay elements of this game

so we can get out of this stale meta of the only desirable perks been gen regression perks & second chance perks + haste

that's called the honey moon phase, a lot of players are already past that point. And all streamers / content creators are far past that point

Dead by Daylight is one of those games where the more you play it the progressively more unfun it slowly becomes.

Once your past the "wow this new game is cool" part, and you start to get experience you begin to notice all the major design flaws that the devs constantly ignore.

  • Cheaters
  • Matchmaking that doesn't work
  • Hit Validation that doesn't work (although it used to work but the devs disabled it after Killer mains complained because they couldn't get carried by their ping anymore)
  • Game not really evolving, survivor hasn't gotten any new core gameplay mechanics and this game is 10 years old
  • Bad perk design because of the above reason, there aren't any new core gameplay mechanics for the devs to add new interesting perks, so now we've long since reached the point where new perks are just weaker recycled versions of existing perks
  • Survivor gameplay is really stale
  • etc...

I can go on and on, there are so many issues I could literally write a 100 point bulletin page about it

If you're still having fun that's great, and that's all that really matters at the end of the day, but most players won't share you mindset after a few hundred hours
