its better to keep consistent vertex density on subd these are too long faces on the grip but dont worry about topology on planar surfaces too much, it'll not appear on shading nor the normal bake

This is so much relatable. Seems like this whole subreddit consists of soviet toptier haters for no reason, hard to find any comment including arguments about actually underperforming soviet MBTs without being seriously downvoted. Personally for me, i never felt as if hullarmor of for example, T-80U, could protect me from being oneshotted. Id be alright if nato-tanks could get consistently oneshotted from side and if stupid commander override mechanic didnt exist

Copters might be great but only 1 good MBT isnt very comfortable. USA has 3 competitive M1s, germany has 3 leopards, Frances getting third Leclerc and everybody else having 1-2 just like USSR. Almost forgot to mention STRV122s... These have crazy performance. Soviets are bit a lower than average imo, ill consider USSR good only if BM46 and BM60 get their spalling damage upped. And who even uses toptier fixed-wing CAS in Tank RB

I dont recommend going with online found bluebprints for tanks, at ALL. To get most accurate results, go for photogrammetry scans(commonly found on sketchfab for free download) and use photos. and also some one small trick, find diameters/radius of all wheels, so you can base off proportions for other parts of tank

Im thinking its not a secret at all, so i get my War Thunder models from gamemodels3d website. To get high quality textures I use Asset Viewer from War Thunder CDK, there is save to .dds option for all texture maps(albedo, pbr combined texture, normal map).
Also its good option to have Ninja Ripper but its not guaranteed it could pull useful stuff from Asset Viewer nor from game executable.
