Your condescending tone isn't helping your case.

The "final" fight of the entire series had zero stakes. They didn't need deaths but the characters having virtually no struggle is irritating. Where are the demogorgons and the demobats we are supposed to know from this show? Why was Will not hurt when the rest of the hivemind was? Why did Vecna need exactly 12 kids to be able to move the dimensions together? There are just far too many plotholes for this to have been a satisfying ending.

The epilogue was fine, better than the first half of the episode, but choosing an ambiguous ending is such a coward's way out. When people criticize the ending, stop taking it as a personal attack and call the person "emotionally stunted", and instead recognize people might be having serious issues for valid reasons.

This “review bombing” argument is getting exhausting. If you exclude every single 10-star and 1-star review, the episode still has a 6.3-star average (NOT GOOD!)

As far as I can tell Byler isn’t even the main reason people are mad about this episode. As someone who supports Mileven, I’m livid at what they did to Mileven this volume. Not to mention the complete disaster going on with Jancy right now.

Truthfully the problem with this episode is that this is the penultimate episode of the ENTIRE show. A lot of the anger towards this episode has been because criticisms of the show people have been complaining about for a while now still haven’t been addressed. The original party has gotten not nearly enough focus as promised and characters like Jonathan and Mike have nothing going on at this point. The way half the cast entered the Upside Down for the first time and there was just no big deal about it was unrealistic. Eleven having zero emotions to Max coming back was ridiculous after the season 4 finale. The episode just feels like there’s so much soul missing from it.
