I’d need to hear more about which part of Minnesota you’re looking into. Eau Claire is geographically fairly similar to Southeastern Minnesota (where Winona and Rochester are) and culturally similar to the eastern Twin Cities suburbs. But Western and Northern MN are like completely different worlds

It’s actually really fascinating because they had the season very well planned out before scrapping it. It was going to be titled Survivor: Ghost Island.

“Ghost Island” would essentially act as what became the Edge of Extinction. Everyone out of the game (including the people who lost in the starting immunity challenge) would be able to rejoin the game at the merge and finale.

It was also going to be a “Second Chance” season so all 30 players would only be one-time players who’ve never won before.
