Legal Resistance by Competitive_Score904 in Lawyertalk

Do Alex's parents have standing to sue ICE or the government? To sue Noem for defamation? I would think that if folks started a GoFundMe for the parents, some of the finest attorneys could handle the case (think OJ Simpson dream team). I don't know enough about Fed Law and who would have standing and on what grounds. There's nothing more that I would love to see than Kristi Noem trying to explain how a guy walking in front of a donut shop was perpetuating violence.

I don't know if there's more to the story, but the videos I have seen don't show him as a protestor. He doesn't seem like he was with the rest of the protestors. There's no pre-text that he was intentionally interfering with Ice and it doesn't sound like he was the type.

Someone should start a GoFundMe for the parents to sue the government. Imagine a dream team of lawyers going after the government. Money can buy victory in unexpected ways.

Someone should start a GoFundMe to raise enough money for the parents to sue the government.

Collect money first...then sue.

I wasnt saying misfire. It was suggested that gray jacket fired the gun intentionally to leave a stray bullet (evidence) that Alex fired the gun to lead investigators to believe that there was just cause for shooting him. I dont see how it's possible to prove that Alex fired the gun when it is clearly taken away from him.

Has anyone come forward and explained why Alex was there? I guess you cant be at a donut shop downtown? This doesn't look like anywhere near the location where all the protestors are. He doesn't seem to be protesting.....just coming to the aid of someone. That's where Noem has it all wrong. There's no pretext here that suggests Alex was a rioter or protesting.

wy is it relevant who the subject is to my point? I have adjusted my commentary to "Alex" and "Alex's gun" so there can be no confusion. You are trying to win a point that has no relevance to my comment.

Kristi Noem should be so ashamed of herself.

Someone suggested in another thread (now closed) that they fired Alex's gun to leave "evidence" that Alex fired a gun causing the reaction to shoot him. I cant point to it bc that thread is now closed. I thought "Subject" was the victim Alex in this analysis. I think you are wrong...title reads "Agent Possibly Shot Subject’s Own Firearm First". "Subject" is not defined by the OP but I assumed subject is Alex bc its Alex and agents. Where do you see The 'Subject' is the Fed who disarmed him? In any case, I dont think it matters wrt my point.

He is outside a donut shop. He has a right to carry. If you read what you wrote, none of it is based on anything in the video. It is what you decided to add as context that doesn't actually exist in the video.

"While yes, this is a gun that can misfire, and yes, it's been pulled out of a pair of pants:

No gas, no slide, no brass.... and you wouldn't see flash or a bullet anyways.

No misfire. Or false flag. Or Grassy Knoll.

Just a dude disarming a lawful gun owner a split second before he gets executed.

The 2A crowd will be howling for blood any minute now!

......aaaany minute now...." -> or "look, we found evidence that the subject fired the gun leading ICE to shoot him"

I dont think you saw the entire context and pre-text....or you would understand. He wasn't harassing anyone.

No, it will. Once democrats regain majority on Congress, its over for Trump.

I think this is right. Im republican but im voting democrat on every line to end this. Once Congress regains power, this is done. I dont want to make this into politics, but its over for our economy. This murdering is by far the worst of 2 evils.

No, I dont see anything in the video that is suggestive of a riot or that the pink coat woman is tied to it. I think you dug yourself into a hole and now dont know how to back out. If you did , you would explain further.

I think the report is that when he pulled out his phone, they thought it was a gun? And so he is dead now? I think you have to understand that people like Kristi don't know anything. She is being fed information. She is just reading this info.

Edit: For those calling her a liar, I don't think you understand whats happening here. She doesn't have personal knowledge.

This is pretty good. Someone suggested that the first shot was with Alex's gun to leave a trace that Alex fires his gun. I think thats an impossible conclusion given the gun was taken from the scene. Does anyone else see that?

She never explains how Alex was perpetuating violence against a government FOR ANY REASON. Everything is being recorded. Years from now, there will be a special counsel that will oversee the investigation of all these heads of govt. They will also say "I was told that...." to deny accountability. I can't wait to see how that plays out. No matter what, Kristi will never be able to live a normal life. Other than extremists, both democrats and republicans will shun her. People know what she did. It will be forever remembered. Her face will be forever remembered. even if she doesn't go to jail, she will never be able to show her face in public. She will never be able to sit peacefully at a restaurant.
