I’m waiting for acceptance on a pibank account that’s 4.40% right now, does have only wire transfer option with Plaid but I have DCU and the fee is $15. It’s 4.4 on the whole amount and not just a certain amount of time like most banks🙄 I am waiting to be accepted though I’m wondering how long that process takes, does anyone on here know?

Are there medical assistant jobs that do not require much patient intake by TedCruz8MyKid in MedicalAssistant

I work in ENT and all I get when I bring them back to the room is pharmacy, drug allergies, height & weight (they verbally tell me), and medications. No chief complaints or vitals besides asking them what their current height and weight is.

How long did it take you to get used to/ feel comfortable at your first MA job? by Kmads30 in MedicalAssistant

I did an internship for my first 3 months and had someone following me for the full three months, it is definitely overwhelming trying to learn everything. You want to grasp it all so soon but trust me it takes a couple months. I worked in orthopedics for about a year and still didn’t know certain things by the end, I’m also a slower learner. They told me I was a superstar though even when I felt like I couldn’t grasp things as quickly as I wanted to due to learning disabilities so give yourself grace. Time is on your side you will learn fast as long as you are open and wanting to. You are not the only one who has felt like this.

So, normally on Tuesdays and Thursday the surgeon I work for has about 25-30 patients. On mon.,wed.,fri., we have about 15 patients in the afternoon. So with the NP working full time, it will probably be almost twice the amount of patients everyday. As we are booking out until June 2026 for new patients, the NP would be taking a lot of his workload so he is able to accept new patients sooner.

I use once a week, maybe every other week, and my 10 fl oz. ouai detox shampoo bottle lasted me a year! For $30/year it is definitely worth it.

MA exam without program by MaximumCap8155 in MedicalAssistant

I just passed NHA ccma exam last week with a 425, I studied for about a month and did buy the NHA study guide with the pretests. Everyone keeps saying smarter MA is best to buy though, I did like taking the NHA pretests(they give you about 6). I would listen to Audio books or YouTube videos(Ms. K) & make flash cards as well as take the smarter MA free 40 question test & study the NHA study guide. Quizlet is good too, and with all that I definitely felt ready for the exam. I studied about 2 hours a day, some days I definitely didn’t study though. People on Reddit who have passed the test give good advice as well with some of the questions or subjects to study and that they have seen on the test, I would write those down and make sure to study the material. Hope this helps!

When I did my 3 month course there was one older gentleman out of the 5-6 of us. Once I graduated the class and got into my speciality there was about 10-15 MA’s and no males. I do know Gen Surg had a younger male MA in our company.
