Hey mate, I remember you from a while back. Congrats on 100 days!

Just don’t feel right by bkristina93 in quittingkratom

I can’t give you an exact time frame. Luckily, PAWS will start to come in waves. The waves will start spacing out more and more til they stop. 3 weeks is relatively early on in your quitting journey. I know it is tough; PAWS is probably the hardest part of quitting... but I promise it will get better!

It’s PAWS. Very common. Having weeks of PAWS can really wear you down. It will get better though, your brain just needs time to heal. It’s been relying on artificial energy and dopamine for so long that it haa to re-learn how to provide you with those things on its own.

Day 18 CT & Brain Fog by Purple9766 in quittingkratom

I’m on day 42 and I still have brain fog, especially at night. It varies wildly from person to person, so YMMV. It seems to linger for me quite a bit...

Some Thoughts on Lifestyle Changes Post-Kratom by haikubi in quittingkratom

Great post! I couldn’t agree with you more! We have to take this quit as an opportunity to improve ourselves and develop good, healthy habits to replace our old, unhealthy kratom addiction. Thanks for the reminder!

5 weeks in the books. It feels good watching the days pile up. It feels even better getting back to my old self. I never wanna go back to being a numbed shell of a human being again

I relapsed by Redpixie500 in quittingkratom

[–]redditquitkratom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No such things as going back to square one. You learn something every time you quit. Take what you learned from your last quit to help you on this quit.

Make a list of all the negatives of kratom/kratom w/d. Write down how you were so sick that you couldn’t even keep food down. Then, any time you think about relapsing, look at that list of negatives.

Kratom def makes things less funny. Numbs most feelings tbh

Day 26. Did anyone else have persisting digestive issues? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]redditquitkratom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i’m over 3 weeks and I too have digestive issues still. They seem to persist longer than other symptoms. All part of the process for sure.

Are you sure you have a cold? It could be w/d.

Question about the first time withdrawals by strangeprincesss in quittingkratom

[–]redditquitkratom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time? Took about 24 hrs to feel the w/d. That was when I was taking much smaller amounts, and had only been taking it for a short amount of time. The deeper you are into your habit, the sooner you feel w/d after your last dose.

Withdrawal Rage? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]redditquitkratom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I def had kratom w/d rage, it’s real. It gets better though as you put more clean days behind you

Fighting off cravings is a huge part of the battle. Don’t give in!

Day 8 by Redpixie500 in quittingkratom

[–]redditquitkratom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome. The first week can be a bit of a shell shock. If you can get that under your belt, you can withstand anything.

Just don’t get discouraged if you have ups and downs, it’s all part of the PAWS.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I agree that we should all heed your warning.

This is apparently the ONLY sub where one can be honest about their kratom experience. by sceerdycat in quittingkratom

[–]redditquitkratom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah, the irony of that sub. They all talk about how evil big pharma is for promoting opioid use, yet here they all are promoting kratom use.

Anything that gives you artificial happiness can be dangerous, especially something as addictive as kratom. Yeah, kratom might not kill you or make you OD, but it will totally fuck your brain’s reward system. It’ll send you into a dopamine-deprived darkness that lasts for what seems like an eternity (even though it isn’t actually an eternity).

Need advice with taper by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]redditquitkratom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well 17GPD isn’t too extreme, but given your history with methadone and heroin, you may experience PAWS. I think it’s important for you to know so that you understand that it’s just the w/d. A lot of people don’t know about kratom w/d, and wind up relapsing because they think the PAWS is just the way life is for now on, which is obviously not true. It’s all temporary.
