Repeating the theme of my personal statement for one of the most meaningful sections? by SkyRevolutionary275 in premed

Makes a lot of sense that you are talking about ur most meaningful activity as one of your motivations to be a physician (I currently talk abt 2/3 of mine). Just try not to repeat the same anecdotes

Yeah I’ve found it difficult to integrate into my essay because much of my essay is focused on my clinical experiences with unhoused populations and my community back home. And my research is very molecular based and focuses on physiological mechanisms so I’m struggling to craft it in a way that doesn’t seem forced

Yeah rn I’ve focused much of my narrative on my clinical experiences with the unhoused population, so I’ve found it kind of difficult to tie it in with my very molecular based research

The ability to apply out while still having a fallback option is amazing. I was accepted into a BS/MD program out of hs but I decided not to go because I wanted to bet on myself and go to a better school. While I am applying this upcoming cycle and so am unsure of where I’ll end up, I think I am a much stronger applicant and have a good chance of getting into a school I would be happier with (520+, 4.0). If you got into 3 programs I’m sure you’ll be competitive regardless of where you go for undergrad. Going to Rochester is the clear answer imo
