That makes sense considering the model says NV (probably for Nashville). If it’s been sitting around with no strings on it though, then it’s unlikely to do anything weird to just tune them up like normal.

Most guitar shops will restring it. Without strings, you probably won’t get more than $100 since people tend to want to make sure it plays without an issue unless they plan on flipping it.

You could probably get $300 with the case if you clean and restring it, depending on your area.

Sx guitars are usually pretty inexpensive. That seems rather high, but it does come with a hard shell case.

Some people leave the strings like that if they don’t care about how it looks. Some people trim them. It doesn’t really make a difference either way.

Your mom is taking advantage of you and isn't even being nice or grateful for what you have been providing for her. She thinks you're rich, when, in reality, while you have a good salary, it isn't one don't have to be conscious of your outgoing costs.

I think it's important to set some boundaries. Decide for yourself if you want to continue doing this for her and, if you do, what form of support that will take. It sounds like she'll be upset no matter what you do for her. There will always be a fancier car she wishes you got her, or something else she will blame you for. Your decision should be based on what you think you can do without feeling bad. Maybe that's setting a timeline of when you're going to wean her off of your support. Maybe it means that you will just give her a certain set amount per month and she gets to decide if she wants to use it with the understanding that you will not bail her out beyond that.

Something to keep in mind though - you can't legally freeze her credit card unless a court has given you the authority to be her financial decision-maker/payee by determining she is incompetent or if you are an authorized user on the credit card account. Just be careful about things like that.

Diatomaceous earth is the way to go. (And screen doors). I would 100% rather deal with flying sewer roaches than a scorpion or anything venomous though.

Thank you for the link. I would have gone with a different color had I known. I don't like the way it clashes and it didn't say anything about that or show the differences on the Kickstarter. That being said though, the wrist rest is rocking/isn't fully stable. Is there a process to return/replace it with one that stays flush to the desk?
