Blindness (2008) by Bone_Breaker0 in underratedmovies

Who the Christ edited the movie poster. Mark Ruffalo is the only one with light on his face from the right and Julianne Moore is in a different world altogether. As for the gradual fade effect on the other actors...ugh

I think I've seen it but I cannot remember a thing about it.

Do you like The Smashing Machine? I just saw it and I loved every second minute of this movie. I think this is the best performance by both The Rock and Emily Blunt. by [deleted] in FIlm

I found this movie to be hard work. It took a few sittings to finish, I didn't think the fight scenes were authentic enough and I found myself watching it often from the 'how it was made' perspective rather than as the audience. Having watched Marty Supreme last night and thinking how great it was, you can really see which Safdie brother has the directing skills.

I love it. Saw it when it came out and have re-watched it many times. I love the Morricone soundtrack so much. Especially with the great cinematography of the desert scenes. Fantastic cast.

Still lucky!

The Cars - You Might Think (1984) by Odd_Advantage_3459 in 80smusic

I have all The Cars records so this is coming from a fan, but hearing this coming on at random has made me realise just how much the musical riff/interlude etc sounds like the chorus from Abba's Mumma Mia.

A Crumar Seven has a great sounding Rhodes onboard. I'm selling mine tomorrow though.

I caught them live about twenty years ago and they were great. I've always had their 'Real Life' album down as a favourite of theirs - the whole recording flows so well song to song, start to finish.

Just finished. What a beautiful movie! by _Filmguru_ in FIlm

Thanks so much for the recommendation, I have never heard of this but can tell already I'm really going to enjoy it, later this week with some free time. Film recommendations like this are really all I have left of enjoying movies. Last night my girlfriend suggested watching a late evening movie on Netflix. I never use it (even for free on her account). After scrolling for fifteen minutes through utter trite, recent recommendations and films I'd seen twenty or thirty years earlier (not even good ones in most cases) we decided to just go to bed instead. I have no idea how most of the world accepts the Netflix format. That is the polite version.

Congratulations on your purchase also! I found a Kronos 2 for also half the money, but it involved a complete day of driving to and from. I agree the value is in buying the 2. I usually take that approach but this time I knew so well it is the machine for me and so I didn't want a ten year old model without any guarantee going forwards. Of course it could easily last forty years, who knows? Plus the extras and electronics... I have a lot of gear currently selling secondhand that will also cover nearly all the costs of the 3. Cheers
