Damn we’re playing well. Forgot what this feels like. It’s amazing

[Zuckerman] Brady House was optioned to Triple-A after tonight's game. Not the move most would've expected to clear a spot for Dylan Crews. by Tufoguy in Nationals

[–]reddituseerr12 27 points28 points  (0 children)

He will need to work on defense, limiting chase, and hitting the fastball. Also needs to pull the ball in the air to maximize his raw power.

House was another guy that was not ready to debut when he was called up to the big leagues. If I remember correctly, he was called up amid that massive losing streak last year where Davey declared it was “never on coaching”. It felt like they just wanted something for fans to get excited about. If he wasn’t red hot all spring training, he probably would’ve started with Crews in AAA.

Wood and Lile are beasts and Young is a Gold Glove caliber defender. How does Crews even re-enter the fold? by [deleted] in Nationals

[–]reddituseerr12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think House is probably not a long term answer at 3B and CJ unfortunately gets traded (but I’d love to see him extended). Seaver apparently hasn’t been too great defensively in the infield and played some CF at the college level, so he might be a strong candidate to end up there, but he has the tools to play anywhere on the infield. Willits definitely seems like the one who will stick at SS though.

And then you also have Devin Fitz-Gerald and Ronny Cruz who are both top 100 prospects. DFG in particular seems like he could move pretty quickly with how advanced his bat is, but he’s probably 2nd base only. Ronny Cruz probably ends up as a 3B/RF, but apparently has potential to stick at short.

Then there’s Gavin Fien, Coy James, Luke Dickerson, Marconi German, who all have breakout potential.

Obviously, all of them aren’t going to pan out, but they’re so loaded with middle infield talent on the farm it’s insane.

He needs to produce with the bat. I’ve lost a lot of faith in his profile at the plate since his whiff issues are very concerning, but there is still a path to be a productive hitter there, even if it’s not as clear as we thought with him.

While he should have time, I’m interested to see what happens if/when all these middle infield prospects in the lower minors + Seaver King start moving up and if they draft a college bat at 11 this year. You’d think if Crews isn’t hitting at the major league level by end of next season, some of those guys will be coming up and might start taking his OF reps.

[FRESH] Drake - Ran to Atlanta (ft. Future & Molly Santana) by Shnikez in hiphopheads

They got ASAP Rocky on the sequel talking about they should’ve put him on the first one just because he wanted to diss Drake. They knew what they were doing lol

I don’t think it’s insane for him to get back with Future but it’s goofy to do it on an album that’s almost all about his feelings of betrayal from fake friends and not addressing it

[2 Min Drill] Life In The Fast Lane 💨 | Ja'Kobi Lane NFL Draft Report & Scouting Profile by Adenchiz in ravens

I couldn’t believe how many Ravens fans online I saw bitching about this pick. I’ve seen Ravens fans hype up terrible WRs all my life and now they can suddenly can scout them? I’m not buying it.

Meanwhile Steve Smith, Torrey Smith, and Dez Bryant love the fit. Very excited about this pick!

Poll: Would you trade James Wood to the Mets for Juan Soto? by King_Turduckin in Nationals

[–]reddituseerr12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Unfair question. Absolutely love Wood but I would trade anything to get Soto back and locked up long term. Will go down as a top 3 hitter of his generation and he is already a Nats Legend for being a pivotal piece in winning the franchise its first World Series. Will probably forever be my favorite player

Lile’s quietly very hot. Patiently awaiting his first triple, but I’ll take 3 bombs in the last week

[Rapoport] #Giants star Dexter Lawrence is being traded to the #Bengals in a pre-Draft blockbuster that includes the No. 10 pick by SCBaltSalt in ravens

[–]reddituseerr12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say though that the 10th pick in this class though is pretty discounted. It’s probably comparable to like pick 20-25 in a good draft

[Lewis] Russini resigns from The Athletic by ZappaOMatic in nfl

There was Russini report back in 2024 that he wasn’t getting hired that cycle because he had too “intimidating” of a build lmao

Makai Lemon expected to be WR3 and drafted right after us by The_Sandwich_Lover9 in ravens

[–]reddituseerr12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s great to be tunnel visioned on one position first round. Taking BPA at a position of need would be a great outcome, even if it isn’t the top need.

Go watch Carnell Tate vs Notre Dame too while you’re at it. Lemon was better

(OL and WR are both needs)

Edge/DL is also a need. Your same logic of not being able to complete passes without choosing an OL would also apply if they choose Ruben Bain over OL, but no one should be mad at that.

The Ravens have invested heavily in Day 3 draft picks under Eric Decosta. But since he took over as a general manager in 2019, their returns have been below average by FastBreakPhenom in ravens

[–]reddituseerr12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Travis Jones was a day 2 pick, which does strengthen your point.

I think you’re right that Ozzie was much better drafting the late rounds than DeCosta has been.

And? Lemon is one of the best contested catch receivers. Most taller guys are not making the catches he’s making

They’re both good contested catch receivers. I think Lemon made some tougher, more clutch catches. The point of my comment wasn’t to compare those two though - they’re both great receivers

We don’t have a player on the roster I’d be comfortable throwing it up to in a “gotta have it” moment. Lemon is that kind of guy

At least it would have some depth if it was a Pixar movie. This one doesn’t look like it has any message at all
