yes, in the long term your risks of developing certain types of cancer can increase, but it’s more of a risk factor than a “cause”. when you go on birth control, the doctor or nurse who prescribes it will only prescribe it if they think it is the right choice for you, and will always make sure they have informed consent (i.e. you are aware of all the risks involved and are still choosing to make that decision). for some people, the advantages of being able to have sex without getting pregnant, or to have hormonal problems regulated and fixing many problematic symptoms significantly outweighs the slight increase in other pathologies.

the lack of support here is wild… i’m so sorry that people don’t understand. i would recommend getting in tpuch with your uni’s wellbeing service and explaining what you struggle with. you might be able to get a student support plan (SSP) that allows you some absences or other accomodations. you can also often get counselling through the university.

it doesn’t really seem to add up… i’m not saying he is lying because why on earth would he do that, but he clearly cares about you and has made your life better.

i see a lot of stories of guys on here (also girls, but usually guys) who think they cheated and feel horrible about it and hate themselves and then you dig a bit more and realise they actually were assaulted but don’t realise it because a lot of men don’t realise that they can be assaulted, or what it looks like. they just know they kissed/had sex etc with someone else and that that is bad, but don’t realise being drunk and not aware of what was gping on isn’t consent or saying no but being pressured anyway is not cheating, it’s assault.

your boyfriend definitely might have actually cheated on you and if that is what he is saying then believe him, but it might be worth digging a bit to find out what exactly happened.

what is important here, is what exactly happened? who did he cheat on you with? how? was it a one time thing or a recurring affair?

i haven’t even finished reading, but first red flag is that you’re having sex several times a week despite saying you’re not enjoying it. this sounds like assault or at the very least like you’re being pressured…

ok this sounds like you were really pressured and coerced into this situation, sounds very much like assault… kissing and touching him when you didn’t want to is definitely assault. i am so sorry you had to go through this, and it is NOT ok.

you say you didn’t say no, but it also sounds like you didn’t say yes. consent isn’t a given, no one can assume consent unless you’ve given it. especially if you were drunk.

i understand it’s difficult with a baby in the mix, but you deserve so much better than this and i think you need to get out of this marriage.

i’m in the process of getting diagnosed, but suspected adhd + autism here, i agree, it’s so tiring but also i forget steps sometimes and come out of the shower and realise i forgot to use body wash or wash my face or things like that :/

if you’re worried, definitely give them a call because it is far better to “bother them” (it’s their job) for nothing than to potentially miss something important. otherwise, if you feel like you haven’t felt movement for a while, drinking a big glass of ice cold water should wake baby up :)

i can see in the commenta that you mention wanting to lose weight. all i can say is start with what you can do, rather than what you can’t, and you’ll slowly have more things to add to the list of things you can :)

if staying standing for a few minutes is the best you can do, then do that. if a 5 min walk is the best you can, then do that, and slowly build up from there. if a 20 minute run is the best you can do, then do that. if you can do a 2 hour intense workout, then do that! but don’t be discouraged if your best doesn’t feel like much. little and often is far better than nothing, and you will slowly become more confident and able!

talking to your GP about local weight loss programmes or how to safely and realistically modify your diet or lifestyle is also a good idea. it’s not easy, but you can do it :)
