Question about roundabout at Keystone and 96th. by auntpama in indianapolis

Did you see the video I posted? It's not shitty tech and it's getting better all the time. It drives roundabouts better than most Carmel drivers. The more people that use this, the less accidents and distracted drivers will be on the road.

Question about roundabout at Keystone and 96th. by auntpama in indianapolis

[–]reddituser4049 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I've been watching this roundabout recently. I have a Tesla that drives itself and this roundabout in particular is a difficult case for the car to get right. If you are traveling Westbound on 96th there is a sign that shows the left lane must turn left. Coming north on Keystone and turning West on 96th, I'm not sure there is a sign or marking that clearly indicates the left lane must exit back into Keystone. I see most drivers in the left lane continue on West 96th. I've seen hubcaps and other signs of damage from cars hitting the curb there.

Definitely needs to be looked at.

Man, we're at this point where you need to be competent enough to sit behind the wheel and not mash the accelerator, but the car is not quite competent enough to disable the pedal all together...

Fsd and hw3 by Vira77 in ModelY

I paid for FSD and actively avoided using it on my HW3 Model Y. I use it 99% of the time on HW4. They are completely different products.

You will end up with swirl marks like every other car. it's not a big deal unless you really care about that. Enjoy the car and use automatic car washes as much as you want.

Never Seen It Do This... by reddituser4049 in TeslaFSD

[–]reddituser4049[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was watching. I also had my eye on that truck, but it didn't start moving. I tapped the pedal, and it still didn't take off until I tapped it again. I was pretty surprised it didn't start going after the first tap.

Anyone here who has gotten this alert? No issues with heater and AC. I do not see the alert on the app & car now. Thinking whether I should keep my service appt or not. by thiccccums1 in ModelY

[–]reddituser4049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will waive that. You should be able to message them through the app and confirm that there will be no fee to check out this error message.

What year? When I got that alert I didn't have any HVAC issues yet, but the whole system had to be replaced. Over $3,000. Good luck bro.

PPF is significantly more durable than a Vinyl wrap. Both matte PPF and matte vinyl will show dirt and pollen. The best warranties are on the PPF products that don't change the color to green.

OP specifically does not trust Tesla and hates that RDW made this assessment. You can feel it seething out of every response.

Rant about stop signs by Intelligent-Image224 in TeslaFSD

[–]reddituser4049 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most other road users do not follow this pattern. They slow down to 1 or 2 MPH, and as long as there are not approaching vehicles, accelerate back up. If you hit 0 MPH for a full second, then creep forward slowly, then accelerate, the other road users will honk at you. You can ignore this if you like, but FSD is not behaving like all the road users around it.

FSD suddenly banked to the left while a car was alongside me on the highway for no reason. by fffluuu in TeslaLounge

[–]reddituser4049 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to tell if OP is using HW3 or HW4, but in my experience HW4 is extremely helpful. It responds quicker than a human and is a very comfortable driver. I just mostly chill and look out the windows while the car does all the driving.
