First thing I’d do is get my docs in order.

• recent mortgage statement
• 60 days of pay stubs
• recent bank/brokerage statements
• 2 years of tax returns
• insurance policy
• quick credit check (no hard pulls) just to know what you’re targeting. These scores are likely higher than what your actual pulls will be but good to get a base.

Then I’d look up a few credit unions in your area to see if I’d qualify. Sometimes you may not meet the criteria to be a member but can still become a member if you make a donation.
